The Atlantic ran with a story from an “anonymous source” that claimed President Donald Trump had called military members disparaging names during a trip in France to honor military dead.

But all the folks who were actually there at the time have gone on record and said that wasn’t true, by some counts 21 people went on record, including people like John Bolton who is not a friend of the president.

Despite the fact that the story was basically roundly debunked, the media and the left pushed it everywhere and treated it as fact.

But the media and the left haven’t looked and don’t seem to have had any issue with the way that the Obama/Biden team actually treated the military when they were in power, going “Night of the Long Knives” against the military leaders, putting in harmful Rules of Engagement that caused deaths in Afghanistan and decimating the military causing more deaths.

Given the controversy over the debunked comments about Trump, I wonder what the folks on the left are going to say about the video about Joe Biden’s comments that dropped today?

The video which is purportedly from March 7, 2016 when Biden was still Vice President shows him visiting an undisclosed military location in Southwest Asia with his wife.

During his remarks, he talks about endorsing the application to the Air Force Academy of the officer in charge at the location, Lt. Johnson. Biden then tells the military members “incredibly good judgment” and that they should “Clap for that, you stupid bastards, come on, man.” He apparently didn’t think they clapped enough for his satisfaction because he then followed it up with telling them they were a “dull bunch,” saying “must be slow here.”

After The Atlantic story ran about Trump, Biden attacked Trump saying, “Mr. President, if you don’t respect our troops, you can’t lead them,” despite the fact the story was debunked.

His rapid response people claimed that Biden was joking, saying that he also praised them elsewhere in the remarks. “Vice President Biden was jokingly encouraging the audience to clap for an airwoman on the stage, and a number of service members can be seen laughing and smiling at the comment,”Andrew Bates said. So they basically are admitting the remarks.

But you can tell, just as happens with him now when he doesn’t like something, that he’s snippy that they didn’t respond enough to him and he was chiding them. And that’s not the way you address the military, even ‘joking.’ You can see the guy to Biden’s left, he’s pretty much all of us, like ‘that’s not appropriate.’

The reaction to Biden’s newly discovered remarks wasn’t good and people weren’t letting his people get by with the “he was just joking” response, especially after all the attacks on Trump, when Biden’s remarks are actually on video and real. Everyone knows had this been Trump, the media would excoriate him and we’d never hear the end of it.
