In these final days before the election, Democrats and their willing allies in the media seem to be going all in with the “anonymous sources” to try to take down President Donald Trump.

We’ve already seen things like the Russian bounty story and The Atlantic story about supposed comments about the military. Both stories have been soundly debunked at this point.

But it isn’t stopping them from trying.

As my colleague Streiff reported earlier, CNN put out a claim from another “source” that is just ridiculously untrue on its face.

First, whatever they’re saying about the USPS is nonsense since they didn’t have that many masks and at the time the guidance was not to wear a mask, that only healthcare workers needed to wear them in February and into March. That’s what doctors like Dr. Anthony Fauci were saying and indeed, that’s what Dr. Sanjay Gupta himself was saying. So what “guidance” is this person talking about? Imaginary, like this source?

Pradheep J. Shanker, a radiologist and a public health policy person, called out Gupta for both the ridiculous claims and the anti-scientific claim.

If you go back to January, what was the most effective policy?

Well, China (if you believe them) was the most effective: A TOTAL TRAVEL BAN FROM HUBEI. They literally locked down 60m people.

Lets put it another way: Gupta argues that a mask order, and social distancing, alone would have save 90% of people.

This is just really dangerous stuff being spread by Gupta, where are the fact-checkers calling this out?

Plus if we compare to Joe Biden, need we remind everyone that Trump cut travel in January? So very early and Joe Biden didn’t publicly agree that was the right thing to do until April 2. Imagine if we had waited until that long.

As NRSC senior advisor Matt Whitlock observed, this is all the Democrats and their supportive media are left with, trying to spin and rewrite history about the virus to attack Trump.

Democrats entire election game plan is to convince voters Trump literally caused COVID deaths (and ignore China's role, etc.), despite Dr. Fauci and the experts noting that the President has followed their guidance from the beginning.
