Rochester has had some viral videos of the rioting that has gone on in the past week after the release of a video of the death of Daniel Prude in the custody of the police.

Videos showing the BLM going into restaurants that were open and trying to shut them down went viral on Twitter (although were largely ignored by national media).

But on Sunday, a news reporter found out that it wasn’t a good idea to try to cover the BLM during their actions, even with a security guard.

It’s not clear what drew the BLM anger to WHEC reporter Charles Molineaux and his security guard. But, according to the NY Post, the BLM folks became angry at them and demanded they leave the area. They apparently thought they were “infiltrators.”

“Go home, go home, go home!” the crowd chanted as Molineaux and the guard were confronted in a nearby parking lot, video shows. One protester is seen waving a Black Lives Matter flag.

“Just leave, go that way!” one man tells them. “Go out the parking lot!”

“Get the f–k up out of here!” another man yells.

It got ugly fast. Apparently, the two weren’t leaving fast enough for one person who then made threatening motions toward them with a knife.

Another one takes a swipe at the security guard with the BLM flag pole that he was holding. Others threw things at them. They then start running and the BLM chases them briefly before pulling back.

Molineaux said he never saw the knife or that his security guard apparently used pepper spray at some point in the encounter. They were fortunate to get away. No one has been arrested yet.
