I previously reported on the Portland “moms” leader, Demetria Hester, how she didn’t quite fit the picture of what media was trying to sell us about the moms group in Portland that was supposedly standing like a “wall” to defend the poor peaceful protesters from the “evil” federal agents.
But then the “Wall of Moms” group basically imploded about two and a half weeks ago because some claimed they weren’t concerned enough about ‘centering’ black lives in the effort. So then they sort of reformed into “Mothers United for Black Lives” with one of the leaders being Demetria Hester.
Here she is before they set the Portland Police Association Building on fire and the day before they blockaded the cops in the East Precinct and tried to burn that up, too. She’s chanting, encouraging them, “Every city, every town, burn the precinct to the ground.”
Warning in all the videos for offensive language.

Then here she is, chanting about how they are going to “f**k sh*t up,” as indeed they did the next night when they attacked the East Precinct.
A lot has been said in the last couple of days about how radicalized the moms at these events are or are not. Their "we are going to fuck shit up chant" seems pretty direct. pic.twitter.com/Alslt4dSfX

She was finally arrested on Sunday night for disorderly conduct and interfering with a peace officer.
A group of protesters and residents of the neighborhood have come out in front of the PPA building. A mass arrest is happening at the moment. Protesters tell me #Portlandmoms leader Demetria Hester has just been arrested. #PortlandProtest #PDXprotests #BlackLivesMatter pic.twitter.com/wcclGzDoSB

But then she was released and all the charges were dropped. So why even bother arresting her if you’re just going to drop the charges?
After she was released, she made a statement that looked like unwell performance art.
I had taken this video down earlier in the day because it seemed like Demetria Hester’s lawyer might have had concerns. With charges dropped and her permission, I’m reposting because I think it’s pretty powerful. This was taken right after she got of jail around noon. pic.twitter.com/44cZOiRqx3

The reporter for Oregon Public broadcasting noted her concerns about posting it until she no longer had charges pending. So basically the reporter is admitting she sat on it, thinking it might hurt Hester’s case. What the heck? And other local reporters have failed to identify Hester by name and as the Moms leader in the inciting videos I posted above. Why?
So she was right back out on the street during last night’s action, taunting police again, as we reported earlier. Warning for more offensive imagery.
I should probably throw a warning up on this, but if you couldn’t see what they were holding… here it is. Demetria Hester telling troopers that their wives are cheating on them “with something of that size.” Now she’s back to telling them that their moms/families/kids hate them pic.twitter.com/etngjhhT1H

Involved as police are trying to make an arrest here.
Demetria Hester, who was arrested, charged & released yesterday, is back at another unlawful assembly. The DA’s office announced immediately they wouldn’t pursue the charges against her. #PortlandRiots pic.twitter.com/ATWPWuvMRk

Then screaming at the cops again and trying to keep the neighborhood awake.

It’s safe to say that these people are seriously unhinged.
So how does Portland expect to stop this if people are just released?
