The leftists have had their way in Seattle for awhile.

They let the Seattle autonomous zone fester for two months with the mayor calling it a “block party” and “summer of love” until four were shot, two were killed and the radicals marched on the mayor’s home. They even marched on the home of council members. They care so much about black lives, they even marched on the home of their first female black police chief, Carmen Best, but the neighbors came to her defense blocking them from getting there.

They’ve been lobbying to defund the police despite the 525% increase in crime since the autonomous zone.

Best has been very critical of the radical leftist effort to defund the SPD and has not been shy about saying that. As my colleague Sister Toldjah reported, the progressive-run city council has decided to show their respect for black voices and women by voting to slash her salary.

But now, thousands have come out to speak against the defunding effort. The silent majority is finally being heard from in Seattle.

They chanted “Defend SPD” and “vote no!”

So many people and so loud you can hear it echoing up and down the streets.

The defunding vote is coming up tomorrow. The council members have already said they are committed to cutting by 50% although some of them have started to sound like they want to delay the enactment of that, perhaps because of the public backlash.

As Q13Fox reporter Brandi Kruse observes, some of these folks who committed to cutting by 50% campaigned last year on building up the police department.

Kruse has been a great reporter on the subject in Seattle, showing that yes, there are reporters out there dedicated to doing their job to inform the public honestly, so we give her props for the effort.

Of course, some of the crazies came out to counter-protest, with much smaller numbers and vile vocabulary. Warning for language.

Antifa made an appearance and assaulted a woman, showing why they actually need more cops, desperately, and all the support you can give the police.

But they were far outnumbered and under the watchful eye of the police.
