On Thursday, President Donald Trump hosted Hispanic leaders at the White House and signed an executive order on the White House Hispanic Prosperity Initiative to help “improve access by Hispanic Americans to education and economic opportunities.”
Goya Foods CEO and President Bob Unanue attended and praised the President during his remarks, “We’re all truly blessed, at the same time, to have a leader like President Trump, who is a builder.” He continued, “We have an incredible builder. And we pray. We pray for our leadership, our president, and we pray for our country, that we will continue to prosper and grow.”

That simple statement was apparently too much for the cancel culture on the left.
From Fox News:
Critics like Rep. Alexandria-Ocasio Cortez, D-N.Y., former Democratic presidential candidate Julian Castro of Texas and a number of celebrities took aim at the company on social media with hashtags like #BoycottGoya and #GOYAWAY. Many urged people who use Goya products to start buying similar foods and condiments produced by the company’s competitors.
Oh look, it’s the sound of me Googling “how to make your own Adobo” https://t.co/YOScAcyAnC

We learned to bake bread in this pandemic, we can learn to make our own adobo con pimienta. Bye. https://t.co/qKHNYfkqCq

.@GoyaFoods has been a staple of so many Latino households for generations.
Now their CEO, Bob Unanue, is praising a president who villainizes and maliciously attacks Latinos for political gain. Americans should think twice before buying their products. #Goyaway https://t.co/lZDQlK6TcU

So, Trump is helping Hispanic education and businesses with his effort that Unanue was highlighting and the left’s response to the CEO’s positive words? Cancel Goya.
They’re trying to destroy a minority-owned business and would hurt their business and all they’ve been doing to help Americans because Democrats are upset he praised Trump. How insane is that?
Goya has likely done more than any of these folks ever have to help people. Goya has donated hundreds of pounds of food to foodbanks to help out during the pandemic and contributed thousands of masks.
You can’t make this up. The Lunatic Left wants to cancel @GoyaFoods because the CEO said something nice about @realDonaldTrump.
Goya employs thousands of hard-working Americans and just donated over 1 million pounds of food to US food banks. But liberals like @AOC don’t care. https://t.co/EHqBVs5RXF

If you want to boycott Goya foods (with the hope that they go out of business) simply because their CEO praised Trump… you're officially a fascist.

In response to the effort to cancel Goya, there’s now a “buycott” going on, people buying more of Goya to make up for any deficit that the effort against it might cause.
In the wake of the backlash, Unanue said he would not be backing off what he said and called the effort to cancel Goya an attempt to suppress speech.
Unanue called the pushback against him visiting the White House “suppression of speech.” Unanue said that he was previously invited to the White House for an event hosted by the Obama administration for Hispanic Heritage Month.
“So, you’re allowed to talk good or to praise one president, but you’re not allowed to aid in economic and educational prosperity? And you make a positive comment and all of a sudden, it is not acceptable,” Unanue said.
