Just as the city officials in Seattle seem to have decided enough is enough of the autonomous zone there, now radicals are at it trying to set up one in Washington, D.C. right near the White House.

Rioters assembled on Monday, broke through the gate in Lafayette Park, trying to rip down a monument of President Andrew Jackson in the Square. They vandalized it and had ropes on it, working on pulling it down. Jackson is the founder of the Democratic Party.

Police were able to retake the area, which ticked off the rioters who then tried to fight with the police. Bad idea. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

The rioters also vandalized historic St. John’s Church, which had previously been set ablaze by rioters on May 31. The Church is known as the church of the presidents, famous for having served many prior presidents.

This time, they spray painted BHAZ on the columns of the church, standing for “Black House Autonomous Zone” and they tried to set up an autonomous zone.

Right now most of the people have gone home. There are still some barricades up and some tents. But right now there are a few left, nose to nose with the cops. Cops may just be waiting for most to clear out before they clear the streets.
