Viral Video from the Seattle Autonomous Zone: What Abdicating Responsibility to Anarchists Looks Like

Liberal media and local Democrats have touted the ‘peaceful’ nature of the six block area in Seattle held by anarchists.

It’s just people protesting, a great big block party, summer of love with art, even, says the Democratic Mayor Jenny Durkan. People just don’t understand, she argues.

From Daily Wire:

“We’ve got four blocks in Seattle that you just saw pictures of that is more like a block party atmosphere,” she told CNN last Thursday. “It’s not an armed takeover. It’s not a military junta. We will make sure that we can restore this. But we have block parties and the like in this part of Seattle all the time. It’s known for that.”

When CNN’s Chris Cuomo asked how long it may take before The CHAZ finally disperses, Durkan simply said, “I don’t know. We could have the summer of love.”

So first, let’s take a little look at some of that art through which they are expressing those very loving and peaceful feelings.

Looks like a leftist mania gone wild.

All the businesses were festooned with anti-police graffiti with ACAB (All Cops Are Bastards), Abolish SPD, Police Domestic Terrorists, Kill Cops, Kill Pigs, End Work and F**k Racist Police among the peaceful remarks. Not to mention all the anarchist symbols, pictures of dead pigs and lots of limp penises.

I’m sure all that damage is not problematic for the businesses at all. I’m sure it hasn’t hurt their business or their insurance either.

But no worries! They now have folks doing “armed community patrols,” according to a piece written by Kim Kelly in The Daily Beast.

They’re guarding the boarders and protecting against “white supremacists.” So, let’s see, sort of like…cops. And a border patrol. Funny that. They suddenly see the importance of borders and armed policing.

But I’m sure there’s no concern or problem with having the radical leftist gun club providing security patrols.

As Chief Best said, there are rapes, robberies and other violent crimes still going on in the area and the police aren’t able to respond to them.

Law professor Jonathan Turley bashed Durkan’s abdication of her responsibility to the citizens of the area.

“The government seems to have melted away, not just in Chaz but all of Seattle,” wrote Turley. “The support from Durkan for their ‘desire to build a better world’ ignores that she was elected to govern the entire city of Seattle. Withdrawing the police and giving in to mob control of even one small area is antithetical to the most basic concepts of governance. Indeed, unwilling citizens of Chaz could sue over that decision to surrender control of their precinct. The city could also be sued for damages caused by abandonment.”
