There’s a effort afoot to paint all police as evil no matter what, to call the very nature of policing bad. If you read the barricades with the screeds of what the radical leftists who seized several blocks in Seattle believe, basically there are no good or acceptable police under capitalism.

Now, most Americans know this as nonsense. But what folks who care about truth also need to fight back on is the lie that police want to kill black people. You literally have media lying that police are a leading cause of the death of young black men, when in fact that’s rare. But what isn’t rare is the killing of young black men and other black people by young black men. That’s who is most commonly murdered black people.

But because of the radical movement, to which Democrats and media seek to cater, they now are painting all things related to police as evil. It’s not a coincidence that many cops have already been attacked and killed now because of this. Police attacked across the country by radical leftists from firebombs in New York City to two cops assassinated by ambush in two separate incidents in California.

They not only want to take out the police, they want to take out even TV shows about the police. Can’t have that, might show the humanity of the police. It’s like a Red Guard of leftism, nothing which questions the leftist paradigm must be allowed.

Paramount has canceled the show “Cops” which has been running for 33 years, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The ViacomCBS-owned cabler had removed the long-running show from its schedule in the wake of nationwide protests following the police-involved death of George Floyd on May 25. Now, the network says it’s dropping the show altogether.

“Cops is not on the Paramount Network and we don’t have any current or future plans for it to return,” a network spokesperson said.

“Live PD” is also likely to get the ax.

A&E also pulled last week’s episodes of Live PD — which also follows officers on patrol, albeit in real time. A source told THR that new episodes Friday and Saturday are “unlikely,” although A&E is still evaluating things. A spokesperson for Discovery’s ID channel says its similar show, Body Cam, is also off the schedule for the foreseeable future.

The left wants to purge it all from COPS to Tom Cotton articles in the New York Times, until media is only covering what is acceptable to the left. Shades of Stalin, only things acceptable to the censors will be aired.

RIP, “Cops.”
