Looks like we may now have an idea of who the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, Joe Biden, may be looking at seriously for his vice presidential running mate.

Now in my opinion, there really was only one person he could pick if he was looking a a woman and he was going to pick a woman who could bring him more votes.

Most of the female choices who have been bandied about – Stacey Abrams, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) – are all pretty far left. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, another choice, has become the face of the draconian police state and basically blew any chance she might have had.

There really was only one of the people who he is looking at who one might call moderate – Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and his camp has confirmed she is undergoing vetting. They are also still looking at others.

If you look at the other choices, what do they bring to the table? Stacey Abrams basically brings nothing, she couldn’t even win her own state. Apart from her experience as a runway supermodel for The Washington Post, she’s got nothing. We already saw how Joe hung her out to dry when MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell prompted him to pick her. Either he’s oblivious and/or really bad with women (which we know he is), or he’s just really not interested. While Elizabeth Warren would make some on the left happy, she’s from Massachusetts and is far left, so she’s not bringing any new voters to the table, in fact, he might lose moderate voters if she’s on the ticket. Kamala Harris is leftist but she’s also hated by a lot of the folks on the left. Plus she’s also from California, another state that the Democrats don’t need to get, they already have it.

Klobuchar is the only one who can help bring or keep moderate and/or independent voters. Because she’s from Minnesota, she could also bring middle America to the table. But she doesn’t have a substantial following, nor is she particularly popular or a galvanizing speaker.

But picking a white moderate from Minnesota is going to inflame a lot of the folks on the left who may already have been disappointed by the choice of Biden over Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

Can you imagine the meltdowns from Abrams, Harris and Warren and their respective camps? That’s going to be a sight to behold.

But assuming she doesn’t have too much in her background beyond the bullying the staffers story, they may go with Klobuchar.

The question is do more defect from the left than she could bring in from the middle?
