Florida Governor Ron Desantis let media have it today for predicting (perhaps hoping) the worst to happen with the virus there and not giving him credit for keeping the death rate down. Meanwhile where the deaths are the most in the country, they’ve had nothing but praise until recently for New York’s Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

One of the few people pointing a finger at Cuomo for failures has been Fox senior meteorologist Janice, trying to call greater attention to the nursing home scandal in the state.

Unfortunately, Dean has a very personal reason for anger at Cuomo’s actions on the matter. Both her father-in-law and mother-in-law died from the Wuhan coronavirus in April in a nursing home in New York after Cuomo’s March 25 order requiring nursing homes to accept patients who were positive for the virus.

Now Dean wants to know why CNN hasn’t asked Cuomo any nursing home questions since March 10, two weeks before his fatal nursing home order.

Answer, no, they did far worse with over 5,300 nursing home deaths. Not only did his order likely cause countless deaths, but the state then, after they started getting criticism about the order they changed the way they were calculating nursing home deaths to undercount them, to not include nursing home residents who died in the hospital. Cuomo than further antagonized people then downplaying the deaths, saying older people were going to die no matter what.

Meanwhile:

All this was completely unnecessary as they had the Comfort and the Javits Center as overflow areas where they could have gone, and protected the nursing homes. Those resources ended up being very under used.

Now, many, including Dean are calling for an investigation.

Sounds like things that maybe CNN should be asking questions about, right?

But not so much.

As Dean points out, this is what they are concentrating on instead.

It actually got worse than that, as the Cuomos joked about how he should feel good about himself and was now so popular.

Can we say completely improper conflict of interest? How can CNN even pretend to be a news organization when they do things like this?

But no one else has grilled him, let alone his brother. They’re too busy burnishing up his rep for president.
