When it comes to fake news, this has to rank right up there, for deceptive editing and full-blown fakery spread to millions of people.

Jimmy Kimmel deceived his audience with a fake story last night about Vice President Mike Pence supposedly delivering empty boxes of PPE to the Woodbine Rehab Center.

The story was then spread widely by media and Democrats who didn’t bother to check the lie, which once again is a testament to their lack of attention to the truth and only caring about pushing a narrative. Here’s a Democratic pollster spreading it.

“Mike Pence pretending to carry empty boxes of PPEs into a hospital is the perfect metaphor for who he is and what he’s doing. A big box of nothin’ delivering another box of nothin’.”

Over four million views at this point and it’s fake, as the Washington Examiner’s Jerry Dunleavy points out.

Townhall’s Julio Rosas points out some of the media people who helped the spread.

Kimmel deleted his deceptive tweet.

But when caught, neither McDermott or Kimmel had the honor to properly apologize, proving what slimy people they truly are.

Additional context? Matt is a liar and doesn’t want to admit it with a proper apology, so tries to spin his lie as best he can.

Kimmel’s ‘apology’ was a similar attempt to dunk on Pence without actually apologizing.

Sad that these folks have no honor. What’s more, they missed the whole point of what Pence was trying to say, that the federal government was trying to make sure that all nursing homes had adequate PPE. According to the Daily Wire, Pence said, “15,400 nursing homes will be receiving gowns and gloves and masks: all the personal protective equipment that I had the privilege of delivering here today.” But guess it would have been too honest to cover that.

He also praised the effort of the nursing homes to deal with the situation.

[Y]ou’re not just providing world-class healthcare that every one of us would want our family to have, but we also understand that you’re filling in for family. We know the emotional weight that’s placed on you. We see the way that all of you here at Woodbine and all of you at nursing homes around the country have stepped up is truly inspiring, and I hope today’s delivery is just one more piece of evidence of the profound gratitude the American people feel to each and every one of you.

People let Kimmel have it.
