CNN is getting a bit hit by the Wuhan coronavirus. First, some folks behind the scenes at CNN caught it. But then earlier this week, anchor Chris Cuomo announced he had tested positive.
Now, anchor Brooke Baldwin says she’s come down with it as well.
Baldwin said that she began feeling symptoms on Thursday. “I am OKAY,” Baldwin assured people in an Instagram post. “It came on suddenly yesterday afternoon. Chills, aches, fever.”
Baldwing had been going into the CNN offices in New York City for her show, although she says she did all the things one is supposed to do re: the guidelines and social distancing. “Still — it got me,” she said ruefully.

She also gave a “shout out” to doctors and nurses who were working against the virus, as well as to Bill Withers, the singer famed for “Lean on Me,” “Ain’t No Sunshine” and many other songs, who had died to heart complications.
Baldwin usually covers a two hour afternoon slot. Tapper had to cover for her and explained why he was doing so.
"I am anchoring at this hour because our friend and colleague Brooke Baldwin, who normally anchors at this time, has herself been diagnosed with coronavirus," reports @jaketapper.
"Brooke, we all love you… get well," Tapper adds.https://t.co/hkz2qNXcMG pic.twitter.com/VUL9jyEND0

New York City where the offices are is the epicenter of the virus in the United States, with over 100,000 cases of the virus and the most deaths.
