Someone really needs to let Joe Biden give this whole thing up already.

He’s struggling so hard to be relevant from his basement and it’s just not working.

Every time the media covers him there, he offers up another gaffe and more evidence that he’s not the right person for the job.

Today’s entry was more than a bit bizarre. For some reason he seemed to believe that virus relief checks going out to help people whether the crisis were being held up because the president wanted to put his signature on physical checks. That is straight-up nuts.

What’s even more bizarre was he was actually reading it.

Most checks would be direct deposited. But no, Trump isn’t physically signing any of them. If he really believes that, there’s a big problem. No one is holding up checks but getting money out to all Americans can’t be done in a day. But if we want to talk about avoidable delay, let’s talk about House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats who held it up for a week trying to get their pork and pet programs in.

This is only the latest in a string of bizarre or false claims made by Biden.

The Free Beacon has actually tallied it up, observing that Biden has been fact-checked on five separate occasions from March 13 to April 3 for false or misleading claims about the Trump administration’s response to the pandemic and earned 11 Pinocchios from the Washington Post.

He got busted by the WaPo with four Pinocchios for a video in which he had misleading edits suggesting that Trump had called the virus a hoax on February 28, when in fact Trump was referring to the Democrat’s claims about his response being false and a hoax.

The WaPo also dinged him for being misleading with a clip saying that the “American Dream is dead” but Trump continued to say he intended to “bring it back,” which the Biden folks clipped out.

The WaPo also gave the Biden campaign four Pinocchios for the claim by adviser Ron Klain that Trump was “silencing” Dr. Nancy Messonnier of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Biden has also made the claim that Trump “muzzled” scientists, even claiming Fauci was being silenced even as Fauci was giving briefings and speaking to media.

At a CNN town hall on March 27, Biden repeated an earlier claim that Trump had eliminated the White House pandemic office. He also claimed Trump made “no effort” to put any pressure on Chinese president Xi Jinping and reduced the CDC’s staff in China prior to the outbreak. Biden added he called for China to admit medical experts from the United States when the outbreak in China was still in its early stages.

The Post‘s fact check gave Biden three Pinocchios due to his imprecise language. The Trump administration sought access for CDC experts, and the administration told the Post that Trump offered to send experts to China to help with the outbreak. Biden also did not specifically call for experts to be sent until late February.

Biden also falsely claimed that Trump had rejected test kits from The WHO, despite the fact that the kits were never actually offered to the United States. He also falsely claimed the pandemic team had been eliminated when in fact it had simply been re-organized into another department.

That’s just a small recitation of the false stories, just in the last three weeks and only as to the virus.
