Democrats may be on the way to choosing Joe Biden to be their nominee despite all his plentiful baggage from his constant gaffing and deterioration to his habit of sniffing people’s hair.

But he has another thing looming on the horizon.

That albatross called Hunter and Burisma, and it sounds like more is about to come out on those connections shortly.

From Daily Caller:

Sen. Ron Johnson, the chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, told reporters Wednesday he will soon release an interim report on his panel’s investigation into Hunter Biden’s work for Ukrainian energy firm Burisma Holdings.

Johnson said that the report, which will also focus on what former Vice President Joe Biden knew about his son’s links to Burisma, will be released within the next month or two.

“These are questions that Joe Biden has not adequately answered,” Johnson told reporters, according to Politico. “And if I were a Democrat primary voter, I’d want these questions satisfactorily answered before I cast my final vote.”

Johnson, Finance Committee Chair Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Judiciary Committee Chair Lindsey Graham (R-SC) have been asking questions and seeking records for several months now in regard to Hunter Biden and Burisma.

Johnson has already announced the first person he’s going to subpoena related to the case is Andrii Telizhenko, a former consultant for Blue Star Strategies which did work for Burisma. Hunter Biden reportedly hooked Burisma up with Blue Star, which has two former Clinton White House officials as founders.

Graham have been looking into the question of pressure that Joe Biden put on Ukraine to fire the Ukrainian prosecutor who was looking into questions connected to Burisma. Biden admitted on video that he pressured the Ukrainians by threatening to withhold a billion dollars in loan guarantees but he claims it was because of concerns about corruption and that it was an administration position. Graham had requested information from the State Department on any pressure put on Ukraine by Joe Biden.

Interestingly, Johnson said that while the investigation “weren’t focused on the Bidens,” they weren’t going to ignore them.

“But I can’t ignore them because they’re part of the story. They made themselves part of the story,” he said, according to Politico.

“If there’s wrongdoing, the American people need to know it. If there is no wrongdoing or nothing significant, the American people need to understand that as well.”

Buckle up, Democrats.
