According to those on the left, one must accept everything teenager Greta Thunberg says at face value, no matter how extreme or unrealistic it might be. She cannot be criticized despite their promotion of her as a liberal icon, despite being a voluntary public figure.

Apparently Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin tripped over that liberal commandment of “Thou shalt not criticize Saint Greta” by suggesting that she take some time to study the economic disaster that her ideas such as eliminating all fossil fuels would bring. “After she goes and studies economics in college she can go back and explain that to us.”

Mnuchin was then attacked for that pretty mild comment by CNN’s Chris Cuomo tweeting, “Why do these trumpers think it is ok to go at a kid?”

Now, let’s first note the “objective journalist” Cuomo using the term “trumper” like a pejorative.

But then can we say huge lack of self-awareness? Wasn’t it his network that just had to settle a big lawsuit for going after private citizen 16-year-old Nick Sandmann?

CNN and other media/blue checks on the left went after the teenager and his friends from Covington Catholic High School, painting him and the other boys as racist in a confrontation with a Native American man as well as with Black Hebrew Israelites. Video and further information revealed that the media was promoting a false view of the encounter and that Sandmann had done nothing wrong, except perhaps the most previous wrong to the liberal media – wearing a MAGA hat.

Cuomo was immediately hit with a huge backlash of people who hadn’t forgotten, so much so that “Nick Sandmann” trended on Twitter.
