Democratic leaders have lost any sense of ethics they may have had in their quest to impeach President Donald Trump.

Remember how we began the impeachment fiasco in the House? With House Intel Chair Adam Schiff literally making up what was said in the phone call between Trump and the president of the Ukraine during a public House hearing.

He got a lot of criticism for that, his excuse was it was a “parody.” But he never suffered any consequences for his misrepresentation and has continued since then to misrepresent and lie about facts of the case.

Today, as the House voted to forward the articles of impeachment onto the Senate, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) took a page from Schiff and misrepresented what was said in the transcript.

What Trump actually said is “I would like you to do us a favor though because our country has been through a lot and Ukraine knows a lot about it,” referencing Crowdstrike and the DNC server.

He was asking if they had any information that would help with the hack/server investigation. He’s asking Zelensky to do the U.S. a favor, to help in the investigation of what in 2016 to the DNC server.

Why is the lie important? Because Democrats are trying to sell that Trump was somehow seeking a personal benefit in exchange for the aid. Yet, there was not personal benefit. The “do us a favor” had nothing to do with 2020 or the Bidens.

The only conversation about the Bidens was later in the call. This is another aspect that Democrats and media continually falsely misrepresent. He did not ask for investigations into the Bidens, he asked Zelensky to inquire if the case was properly closed. In other words, he wanted to confirm there wasn’t any corruption, that was suggested by the video of Joe Biden threatening the prosecutor that had caused quite a stir.

There’s a lot talk about Biden’s son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it… It sounds horrible to me.

Then of course there was no discussion of denying aid or conditioning aid on investigations, as Zelensky and other Ukraine officials have also confirmed.

I don’t even know how to interpret her “Do you paint houses, too?” But then it’s Pelosi. Incoherence is a feature not a bug. Just disgraceful that they keep doing this and are not held to account.

That’s the same historical re-wording that Adam Schiff pulled, during the early parts of the sham House hearings. Since MSM repeats it and won’t question or correct it, it becomes the shaped narrative.
