House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., talks to reporters during her weekly news conference, on Capitol Hill in Washington, Thursday, June 7, 2018. After several questions about President Donald Trump and his policies, Pelosi responded: The President said he was going to drain the swamp. He has become the swamp. (AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite)
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) really went over the line with some of her remarks on ABC News with George Stephanopoulos.
We hit on a lot of parts of the interview already, including her game-playing, suggesting that she might still call John Bolton if the Senate did not have witnesses.
The President has been impeached – and no amount of gamesmanship from Leader McConnell will erase that fact. #DefendOurDemocracy @ThisWeekABC pic.twitter.com/SWPASPFqeB

This, despite the fact that she wouldn’t allow Republican fact witnesses during the House proceedings. She had ample time to call witnesses but decided it was just too “urgent” to impeach Trump, then sit on the articles for three weeks. It was the House’s job to conduct an investigation, it’s not the Senate’s job to rectify all their failings until Democrats get what they want.
We reported how her language was far from “prayerful,” attacking President Donald Trump with words that sounded almost like a threat, that “one way or another” Trump would not be president next year, and he would be “impeached forever.” Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) pointed out how her comments completely exposed the impeachment as completely political.
Pelosi said today:
– Trump won't be president next year "one way or another"
– Dems may "have him removed sooner" than the election
– Trump "will be impeached forever"It's clear: Impeachment was a Democrat hit job to stain Trump’s legacy and hurt him at the polls. Nothing more. pic.twitter.com/LY4TUwNiuZ

She went full-on conspiracy theory, accusing Trump and even Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) of being in league with Vladimir Putin, according to a Washington Post reporter.
"All roads lead to Putin & sometimes I wonder about Mitch McConnell, too. What's he — why is he an accomplice to all of that? He has resisted resources …[for] our critical infrastructure of elections. …. So that's all of a piece with him."
Wow. @SpeakerPelosi on "This Week".— Paul Kane (@pkcapitol) January 12, 2020
She didn’t explain how taking out IRGC terrorist leader Qasem Soleimani tailors with being a puppet of Russia given the alliance between Iran and Russia. That would show up the illogic of the proposition.
But she really went over the slide when she threw the Iranian protesters under the bus.
Stephanopoulos asked her if she supported the protesters. “Do you support those protesters? And would it be a good thing if they brought the regime down?”
Now, her immediate response should be “yes.” It was not.

From Daily Wire:
“Well, the protesters are protesting, as I understand it, this brand of protesters, about the fact that that plane went down. And many students were on that plane,” she said. “These are largely students in the street.”
“I think the Iranians should have not had commercial flights going off there,” she said, in an obvious assertion before being interrupted by Stephanopoulos.
“They’re calling out the regime for lying. They’re saying ‘Death to Khamenei,’ as well,” he stressed, referencing Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
“Well whatever it is,” said Pelosi, dismissively. “But the fact is this: There were protesters in the street before against the regime. After the taking out of Soleimani, there were protesters in the street joined together, as you know, against us. It wasn’t good.”
She acknowledged “taking down” the plane was a “terrible tragedy” but emphasized, “there are different reasons why people are in the street.”
Well, needless to say, that was just awful and not supportive. The protesters are risking their lives to stand up against a tyrannical government they’ve had to deal with for 40 years and they’re just tired of the oppression and all the lies.
The protesters in Iran heard her and wanted to let her hear from them. So they created a hashtag #NancyPelosiFakeNews.
Iranian people are angry about what Nancy Pelosi said recently in the interview with @ABC so WE've launched a hashtag against what she said. #NancyPelosiFakeNews https://t.co/4VTGAXlzOJ

Iranian-Americans here had a message for her as well.
I’m an Iranian-American and my kids were born here. I’m really worried for their future when I see the representative of nation saying lie to people front of the camera. Freedom and democracy is base of American values. Stop #NancyPelosiFakeNews. Be committed to American values. pic.twitter.com/8Vaxb3I45Z

@SpeakerPelosi This street is not an university and those people who are target of #IRGC’s snipers are not necessary students. #NancyPelosiFakeNews is a big shame for Americans who are committed to American values, which #Freedom and #Democracy is base of that. Be honest pls. https://t.co/IqDVoaYnzn

Others are joining in on the hashtag to help promote the issue.
I love that Iranians and Americans are coming together to trend the hashtag #NancyPelosiFakeNews.
Who knew Democrat incompetence could inspire world peace?

Iranian hate Democrats
In 2009 when we were chanting in streets and asking for support from Obama’s administration, they did nothing for us.
Instead they gave 2500 green card to the regime’s lobbyist and billions of dollar to the regime itself.#NancyPelosiFakeNews— Mahtab (@mahtab_sar) January 13, 2020
