Ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee Devin Nunes came out with both guns blazing today during the impeachment hearings.

Nunes has written a letter to the Chair of the Committee, Adam Schiff (D-CA) saying that the Republicans intended to subpoena the whistleblower and Hunter Biden to appear before the Committee.

He explained it during the impeachment proceedings today, saying that because Schiff had not been fair or allowed their witnesses to be called or documents requested, they would be taking action. Schiff’s face was something else as Nunes was explaining.

From Daily Caller:

“The American people understand how you have affirmatively prevented Republicans from examining serious issues directly relevant to the issues,” Nunes and Republican Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan said in the letter. “Therefore, to provide some basic level of fairness and objectivity to your ‘impeachment inquiry,’ we intend to subpoena the anonymous whistleblower and Hunter Biden for sworn testimony in closed-door depositions.”

The letter, signed by both Nunes and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), said they also intended to subpoena documents from the whistleblower related to his filing of the complaint as well as the personal memo he wrote of the call on July 26 (in which he reportedly fails to mention any quid pro quo), documents from Hunter Biden’s firm Rosemont Seneca that had relation to Burisma and documents from the DNC with relation to any contact with Ukrainian government officials or related to Alexandra Chalupa.

If the Republicans in the House are unable to get the people or the documents in, Republican senators could also pick up the torch, if this gets to the Senate. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has said that if President Donald Trump is impeached in the House, the Senate is required to hold a trial. But it doesn’t say for how long it would have to be or what they can include. They could vote it right down or they could call witnesses on Biden and Burisma, and hang Democratic senators who are running for president up in hearings if they were to play as rough as Democrats.
