Donald Trump’s establishment pick for the Alabama Senate election came in second to enter the runoff. Look how badly he’s losing in the runoff!

Donald Trump could have chosen to back Roy Moore, who won the primary first round. He could also have followed Sean Hannity who (shockingly) backed the conservative Mo Brooks. Instead, Donald Trump read from Mitch McConnell’s cue cards and backed the establishment lapdog Luther Strange:

Senator Luther Strange, who is doing a great job for the people of Alabama, will be on @foxandfriends at 7:15. Tough on crime, borders etc.

Trump was unable to carry Strange to a victory, and the incumbent finished in second in the primary. In the runoff between Strange and Moore, the Trump endorsement has turned to poison as Opinion Savvy has Strange down 18 points, 50-32, behind Moore!

Makes you wonder just how much trouble Kelli Ward is in.
