Let me start by noting something: yes, many people have at least a small problem with Mitch McConnell. Including myself, sometimes. But that does not mean that the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy will simply tolerate anybody calling his wife a traitorous double agent for the ChiComs. Which is what the rabidly liberal Super PAC (the Democrats still have those? Hypocrites) Progress Kentucky just did.
Recently, the group turned its attention to McConnell’s wife, former Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao, with a focus on her race.
In a Feb. 14 Twitter message, Progress says: “This woman has the ear of (Sen. McConnell)—she’s his wife. May explain why your job moved to China!”
[snip]
Other messages from Progress’s social networking account about Chao have run for the past several days, saying her “Chinese (money)” is buying state elections.
You know what the most insulting thing about this is? It’s not the racism, the sexism, or even the causal accusations of treason. Everybody knows that progressives – particularly progressive males – have a frankly sexual fetish about attacking prominently conservative and Republican women, and that goes double for minority conservative/Republican women. We all know it, and we largely have to accept (at least, in the abstract) that these attacks will happen, because the only people that can stop them – progressive women – have long since been smacked around and down into passivity. Which is horrible, but it’s not my psycho-sexual scene. No, what is insulting is that Progress Kentucky thinks that this blatant race-baiting and xenophobia would work.
Well, it doesn’t. It only works on Democrats. The dumber, more inbred ones. The good news, for Progress Kentucky? To reach them all the group has to do is send out a subcriber-only email blast.

PS: The Democrats do so like their crude racial messaging. As Bobby Jindal or Tim Scott would tell you.
PPS: It has been reported, by the way, that Progress Kentucky has been sniffing around (yes, like a dog) the various Kentucky Tea Party groups in order to encourage a possible challenger that would improve the chances of their …favored candidate… Ashley Judd. I do not say Do not challenge Mitch McConnell in the primary. I do say Anybody who works with Progress Kentucky is a despicable worm who lays down with racists.
