Anti-ICE protests and riots are what happen when radicalized leftists and other useful idiots act on emotion and an open-borders mentality. Toss in the Left's unbridled and irrational hatred of President Donald Trump, and the fact that ICE is a federal agency charged with enforcing federal immigration laws, and here we are.
Before We Continue, Part of the "Here We Are" Is Very Simple
The Constitution gives the federal government the authority to set and enforce immigration law; ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) is an enforcement arm of that lawful authority.
670,000 illegal aliens, including murderers, pedophiles, rapists, gang members, and terrorists, have been removed from American communities, and another two million have self-deported, according to a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) report on the first year of Trump's second term.
Removing the "worst of the worst" criminal offenders is not “fascism”; it's the least a serious administration — unlike the disastrous administration of former President Joe Biden, who all but invited illegals to cross the border — can do to protect the citizens of the United States.
Anyway, in this episode of "The Useful Idiots of the Anti-ICE Movement," we stop by Washington state for a look at the hissy-fit efforts of the leftist politicians to "pre-punish," as it were, ICE agents — by banning them from in-state law enforcement jobs in the future.
It Gets Even More Hissy-Fit
Turns out that not all ICE agent veterans would be subject to ridiculous legislation if it becomes law in its present form; it only applies to agents who were hired after Trump began his second term on Jan. 20, 2025.
Pathetic meltdown? You bet.
Here's more, via the Seattle Times on Thursday:
On Wednesday, Rep. Tarra Simmons, D-Bremerton, introduced the ICE Out Act of 2026, a proposal aimed at barring ICE agents from later becoming law enforcement officers in Washington state. House Bill 2641 specifically applies to ICE agents who were hired after President Donald Trump began his second term on Jan. 20, 2025.
Simmons told the Times that the reasoning for applying the law to only agents hired after Trump's inauguration is because of “training differences” (Read: "politics"), adding:
I think the people who are signing up to be part of this administration’s immigration enforcement and the tactics they’re using across Washington is really concerning, and I don’t want people that are trained in that culture to come and infiltrate our culture.
Uh-huh.
Translation: "We don't want former ICE agents working in law enforcement in the Evergreen State because they enforce federal law as written, which we do our best to subvert or ignore."
Oh, and Ms. Simmons? The Trump administration's "tactics" —and by extension, those of HHS and ICE — are, in effect, none of your business, as long as they operate within the federal law.
Needless to say, not all Washington state lawmakers are onboard with the ridiculous bill. One such legislator is Republican Rep. Brian Burnett, a former Chelan County sheriff, who on Thursday called the bill a “discriminatory proposal” that would be bad for the state, adding:
Washington ranks last in the nation for law enforcement officers per capita, yet this bill would arbitrarily shrink an already limited recruiting pool by barring qualified professionals based solely on prior federal service.
Exactly, which is undoubtedly what Washington state Democrat lawmakers want — along with other such Democrats across the country.

Incidentally, similar anti-ICE proposals have been introduced in Maryland (the so-called ICE Breaker Act) and Illinois (SB2820), because, as in Washington state, nothing says "We want to protect our citizens" like legislation banning former ICE agents from doing those jobs at a state or local level.
Leftism is truly a mental disease, America.
