JD Vance Predicts 2028 Democrat Presidential Nominee — His Pick Is Hilarious and Spot On

One thing is clear about the 2028 presidential election.

While the Democrat Party vehemently begs to differ, their bench isn't exactly deep. When failed 2024 presidential nominee Kamala Harris — whose word salads and shallowness are legendary —and embattled California Gov. Gavin Newsom — who flip-flops on positions like a seal out of water —are your early frontrunners, what does that say about your party?

In an extended interview with Fox News host Jesse Watters on Wednesday, Vice President JD Vance not only predicted who he believes will be the Democrat nominee, but explained why.

Incidentally, one of the things I admire about Vance — the early prohibitive favorite to win the Republican nomination — is his ability to remain steady and perfectly calm while skewering whomever he's targeting.

I mean, look, the Democrats have a couple of big issues. One is that they lean so far into wokeism that they can’t see the obviousness of the fact, which is that Kamala Harris is not qualified to be president of the United States. That’s why she got the vice presidential nomination [in 2020]. That’s why she got the presidential nomination [in 2024]. This is who Kamala Harris is.

Precisely.

Yet poor Kamala continues to blame everything and everyone but herself for the decisive beatdown delivered to her by President Donald Trump in the 2024 election.

One might wonder whether Harris knows, deep down inside, why she lost, or is even aware of her blatant deficiencies. Maybe she's just so delusional that she thinks she would have won, if not for this, that, or the other? I mean, even members of her own party, I suspect, wish she would just shut up and ride off into the proverbial sunset, foregoing any further political misadventures once and for all.

Vance continued — this time ripping into Newsom:

Now, the flip side is, I think you have an unbelievably corrupt and incompetent governor in Gavin Newsom. The fact that those are the two front-runners just suggests how deeply deranged the Democrat Party is. Let them fight it out, we’ll figure it out.

Is there any doubt that Newsom is both?

As RedState's Bob Hoge reported on Tuesday, Trump slammed the no-longer-Golden State's governor, in classic Trumpian style:

California, under Governor Gavin Newscum, is more corrupt than Minnesota, if that’s possible??? The Fraud Investigation of California has begun. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Newsom is Newsom — and as such, he can be whomever you want him to be, as long as he thinks he has a chance of winning your vote.

Vance explained that the only thing the Democrats have to run on (as if all of America doesn't already know) is their psychotic hatred of Trump:

They have nothing to actually run on or govern on. Their entire obsessive focus of that party is they hate Donald Trump. So if they ever get power, are they going to, you know, lower Americans’ taxes? No. Are they going to make your life more affordable? No. Are they going to solve the crime crisis? No.

While Democrat political figures continue to argue to the contrary, the reality is the obvious failure of Democrat-run cities and states, from California to Minnesota to New York (not to mention the "fun" we're already seeing from the young "democrat socialist" [Marxist] mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani), to multiple other out-of-control Democrat messes across the country.

Vance reiterated his thoughts about the Democrats' blind hatred of Trump:

What they’re going to do is they’re going to spend all of their time and all of your money trying to get Donald Trump. I think it’s ridiculous. I think it’s ridiculous that’s what they’re running on.

The money shot was in response to Watters asking: "Gavin and Kamala are on a collision course; who's gonna win?" Vance didn't miss a beat, answering:

The dumbest candidate will probably win, [is] my guess, with the Democratic Party.

While both Watters and Vance laughed at the observation, is there any doubt about JD's pronouncement?

Democrat politicians have been scaremongering (lying to) voters for at least six decades. Why? Because low-information rank-and-file Dem voters have continued to believe their promises — usually at their own peril.

And if we conflate JD's "dumbest" with "most dishonest" — which was likely behind his humorous prediction — it all comes together "nicely," doesn't it?
