So here's the deal:
It's bad enough that untold thousands of illegal aliens who can't speak or read basic English hop into 18-wheelers and drive on America's highways — in a "what could possibly go wrong?" sense.
But it's a whole other ballgame when a criminal illegal alien from Uzbekistan with terrorist ties pilots a semi on our roads. Did I mention that the illegal, who was recently arrested by ICE, was previously released by the Biden administration? Yeah.
Again, would could possibly go wrong?
Before we get to the Uzbek, let's first revisit a couple of recent examples of President Donald Trump's administration apprehending these drivers — none of whom should be driving anything in America, from a pickup truck to a passenger vehicle to even a motorcycle in this country. I mean, it's already crazy enough on busy highways and interstates without folks out there who can't read English.
As my colleague Bob Hoge reported on November 12, the no-longer-Golden State of California admitted it illegally issued 17,000 non-domiciled Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDLs) to “dangerous foreign drivers.” Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced he’s revoking every one of them.
And as RedState reported on November 6, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Executive Associate Director Marcos Charles summed up the insanity:
For the second time in just the past month, the state of Oklahoma and ICE have banded together to bolster public safety along Oklahoma’s highways, identifying and apprehending illegal aliens who are in the country illegally and have been recklessly issued a commercial driver’s license by states like California, Illinois, and New Jersey. Many of the illegal aliens arrested behind the wheel of an 80,000-pound tractor trailer can’t even read basic English, endangering everyone they encounter on the roads.
It boggles the sane mind.
Let's get back to the criminal illegal alien from Uzbekistan who entered the U.S. courtesy of the Biden administration (emphasis, mine):
Akhror Bozorov, 31, hails from Uzbekistan, where authorities issued a warrant for his arrest in 2022 for allegedly belonging to a terrorist organization, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said. Authorities in Uzbekistan accused him of distributing terrorist propaganda calling for jihad online and recruiting terrorists to join the jihad movement.
ICE arrested Bozorov on Nov. 9 while he was working as a commercial truck driver, driving an 18-wheeler in Kansas. ICE said that Bozorov was issued a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in Pennsylvania. Officials added that he was granted authorization to work in January 2024 under the Biden administration.
Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement:
Not only was Akhror Bozorov — a wanted terrorist — RELEASED into the country by the Biden administration, but he was also given a commercial driver’s license by Governor Shapiro’s Pennsylvania. This should go without saying, but terrorist illegal aliens should not be operating 18-wheelers on America’s highways. Biden and [his secretary of Homeland Security] Mayorkas allowed countless terrorists to come into our country.
McLaughlin added, for emphasis:
President Trump and Secretary Noem unleashed ICE to target these national security threats.
And that they (Biden and Noem, with more than an able assist from Trump's border czar, Tom Homan) have done.
Those of us on the right often say or write that the Democrat Party hates Donald Trump more than they love America. While I believe much of that is true, it's also true, it seems, that Democrats care far more about Biden's imported illegals than the safety — or lack thereof — on America's highways.
If not, why do they fight against denying CDLs to illegal aliens who can't read English?
The answer to the rhetorical question is the Democrat Party believes that sooner or later, untold millions of illegals with be handed American citizenship — along with the right to vote. You see, virtually everything Democrats support or oppose can be connected to the ballot box with no more than two dots.
Finally, via Fox News:
Bozorov's recent arrest comes as the Trump administration is putting increased scrutiny on states that issue CDLs to immigrants after an illegal immigrant truck driver was accused of causing a tractor-trailer crash that killed three people in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Yet still, Democrats continue their fight to keep illegal-alien truckers on the road: on November 11, a pair of Democrat-appointed judges temporarily paused the Trump administration’s crackdown on the insanity.
