Cambodia, Thailand Agree to Ceasefire Less Than 24 Hours After Trump Says No 'Deals' Until Fighting Ends

So it's another Monday, meaning another Monday after another incredible week of winning for President Donald Trump and the American people.

And Trump's latest win comes as the result of the president telling the prime ministers of Cambodia and Thailand that he would not negotiate trade deals with either country unless they ended their deadly border war.

Trade talks are a no-go "until such time as the fighting STOPS," Trump wrote on Truth Social on Saturday.

On Sunday, he said in an interview, "I called the prime ministers of each and I said, 'we're not going to make a trade deal unless you settle a war.' A lot of people are killed."

"I think by the time I got off, I think they wanted to settle," Trump predicted.

Well, what do you know?

Just like that, the brief border war (one of countless conflicts between the two countries over the last 500 years, according to Trump) ended when both sides agreed to an "immediate and unconditional" ceasefire, less than 24 hours after Trump issued his threat.

After the ceasefire was reached, Trump told reporters, "We solved it through trade":

We have some good news because the recent war that you just saw they just announced — the newest of the five — this would be six wars that we've stopped. I'm averaging about a war a month... We solved that war — it just came out over the wires... we solved it through trade.

I don't want to trade with anybody that's killing each other. I'm gonna call the two prime ministers, who I get along with very, very well, and speak to them right after this meeting and congratulate them, but it was an honor to be involved.

As I watched Trump speak, I humorously wondered what Biden would have said in a similar situation, before realizing there never would have been a similar situation even if Joe were still anywhere near the White House — shudder the thought.

Here's a bit of background via The New York Times:

Thailand’s acting prime minister, Phumtham Wechayachai, and Cambodia’s prime minister, Hun Manet, shook hands with each other after holding talks in person for the first time since the fighting broke out five days ago along the countries’ disputed border. Since last Thursday, both countries have pounded each other with attacks, which at times included airstrikes and rockets fired.

But even on the morning of the talks, the fighting had continued, with sounds of explosions heard near the border. Things appeared to quiet down only in the afternoon as the Thai and Cambodian leaders sat down in Putrajaya, a city about a half-hour drive from Malaysia’s capital.

And that was that.

Momentum: Attitude Is Everything

Trump continues to enjoy more momentum than I can recall any other president in history accomplishing.

Why? Simple question with a not-so-simple set of answers, but there's one thing I know, here:

Donald Trump has the most positive, can-do attitude I've ever seen. Simply, the guy thinks he's going to win, every time — while the thought of losing never enters his mind.

While a positive attitude can't eliminate setbacks, it can change how one reacts to them. As those who have played competitive sport know, approaching challenges with optimism and a can-do mindset makes winning more likely to continue than not.

Call it "the art of the deal" or whatever suits your fancy, but one thing seems certain as Trump's incredible winning streak continues: He knows he's going to win, they (whomever he's dealing with) know he's going to win, and he knows they know he's going to win.

As for Joe Biden, I'm pretty sure he won't be doing any more interviews, at least for a while. That is, if his minders can stop him. Then again, there's always Hunter.

Editor's Note: President Trump is leading America into the "Golden Age" as Democrats try desperately to stop it.
