No-Nonsense Megyn Kelly Educates NYT Contributor on the Danger of 'Going Along With' Preferred Pronouns

In this episode of "Don't Mess With Megyn"...

Our story begins with "journalist" Benjamin Ryan, who happens to be a health and science contributor to The New York Times and several other outlets, responding to an X post by declaring that so-called "misgendering," intentionally or unintentionally — which in today's insane world on the left means referring to a person by a different pronoun that he, she, or whatever, identifies as is "cruel and rude."

Here's Ryan's post:

Misgendering is cruel and rude, no matter how many edge cases or straw man arguments people can come up with to try to assert otherwise.

Cruel or rude by whose decree, Mr. Ryan?

Ryan's declaration caught the attention of former Fox News and NBC host Megyn Kelly, now a podcaster extraordinaire, who decided to school the "health and science" report with her thoughts on the issue.

Megyn got right down to business:

It is not rude or cruel to say what’s real and true or to refuse to participate in another person’s delusion.

Going along w/preferred pronouns is dangerous - it forces us to cede entire arguments about who can play in which sporting event, disrobe in which locker room and enter into which prison before we’ve even made our case. (“She” can’t play in women’s sports makes no sense; HE can’t do it makes everything clear.)

Kelly makes an excellent point. The left has for decades written the rules about code words and buzz phrases, an area the right has never mastered — save for some of President Donald Trump's masterpiece sayings.

Megyn continued, explaining the left's intent with its concocted "misgendering" language.

Preferred pronouns are meant to dull our senses to get us accustomed to the gender-bending lies we are being told - it’s an effort to override instincts that are there for good reason … including, for women, their own safety.

It can literally be a matter of life and death for a girl to learn to listen to her own instincts about when a man is present. Teaching her to force herself to lie about that is teaching her to dull her gift of fear.

Don’t let a man like Benjamin tell you that you are rude or cruel if you stand up for reality as well as your, your daughter’s, and all of our daughters’ safety.

Game, set, match — Megyn Kelly.

The Bottom Line

Yeah, so here's the bottom line: When you cede the rules of the game, you also cede the game.

Ceding the rules by allowing the left to dictate the language used in the gender game is, yeah, a fool's errand. If we allow the left to control the language — in this case, who are we "required" to call what? — we allow the left to frame the dialogue.

And as insidious as the left is, if we cede our leverage — the leverage of morality and decency, in this case — and succumb to the ridiculous, ever-growing list of pronouns that these people continue to concoct, innocent people are likely to pay the price, as Megyn Kelly suggested.

Progressive policies have hurt America immeasurably.
