Yes, ridiculous. On multiple levels.
The Democrats and their sock puppets in the media called President-elect Donald Trump everything from Hitler to a fascist to a white supremacist, and worse, for months prior to the 2024 presidential election. So how'd that all work out? Trump dismantled Vice President Kamala Harris in historic fashion.
Spoiler: They. Still. Don't. Get. It.
Enter, Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT), who on Friday claimed on MSNBC’s “All In” — where else? — during an interview with smug host Chris Hayes that Trump’s second term will be an “oligarchy” in service of Tesla CEO Elon Musk and the “billionaire class.”
See what I mean?
Here's Murphy as he begins his ridiculous mini-diatribe (emphasis):
We are in the minority in the House and Senate. We don’t have the White House so our job is to make sure everybody understands what’s going on right now and is a wholesale takeover of the United States government by the billionaire and corporate class, we are turning into an oligarchy as we speak.
Incorrect, Senator.
Your job is not to continue your hyperbolic scare tactics about the unspeakable evils that will befall America during Trump's second term. The country heard you people loud a clear, for months, and they thoroughly rejected your melodramatic nonsense about the incoming president and his "Nazi" followers.
Second, suppose Donald Trump had an inclination to try anything even close to the nonsense that the Democrat Party and its media lapdogs have continued to howl at the moon about. In that case, it stands to reason — for the reasonable among us — that we would have at least seen an inkling of that (non-existent) inclination during his first term. Dumb, Sen. Murphy; try harder.
And try harder, Murphy did.
Musk is trying to get close to the White House because he makes his billions off of government policy. He makes tons of money off of production in China, so he was to manage the relationship in China so he can continue to make lots of money, and the car subsidies and rocket subsidies that come through the federal government are a big deal to him as well.
He is a perfect example of a number of oligarchs, billionaires, and corporate titans who are surrounding Trump in order to steal from ordinary Americans, cut our benefits, our kid’s education, and our grandparent’s healthcare in order to turn a billionaire into a multibillionaire.
Again, ridiculous.
Look, we all realize that in the eyes of the Democrat Party and its quasi-official media, the "rich" are the most evil people on the face of the earth and that the corporations they found and or run are evil, as well. We get it. They've preached it for decades. To no avail. It's like the little boy who cried "wolf." Sooner or later, sane people tune out the ridiculous hollow threats — just like they tuned out the "Hitler," "fascist," and "white supremacist" nonsense during the presidential campaign.
“Musk is well known," Murphy added, "but he stands there as a perfect example for the American public as to what is fundamentally wrong with the Trump administration and how it is going to be an oligarchy, a kleptocracy, call it what you will, it is just in service of the billionaire class.”
Really? Baloney.

To a majority of the American people, Musk is a prefect example of what a no-nonsense, non-government, entrepreneurial individual with a vision can do when he or she puts his or her mind to it. Moreover, Musk employs more than 140,000 people at Tesla alone.
How many people do you suppose are employed by congressional Democrats?
Oh, and Sen. Murphy? One question before I wrap this up.
I don't suppose you're concerned at all about Elon Musk, along with Vivek Ramaswamy, heading up Trump's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), are you?
