So how petty are the Trump-loathing co-hosts of ABC's "The View"?
Petty enough that the ladies couldn't stop themselves from attacking Timothy Cardinal Dolan, the archbishop of New York, for inviting former President Donald Trump to the 79th annual Al Smith dinner, a Catholic charity event that traditionally invites both major party presidential candidates.
Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris was also invited but didn't attend, opting instead to send a silly video.
Co-host Joy Behar kicked off the bitter festivities, mocking Cardinal Dolan and the Ten Commandments.
Thank you, Cardinal Dolan, for this wonderful moment. So, is this Catholic Church event normalizing a guy who’s already broken 11 of the 10 commandments? What do you think?
As audience laughter predictably followed, racist and antisemitic co-host Sunny Hostin weighed in.
I think so. I hate to break with tradition because this is a tradition, and it's a tradition to have both presidential candidates come to this particular dinner. But sometimes there's a time to break tradition. You can't have a felon, a liar, a serial cheater – you know, he had Melania next to him. His third wife, who he cheated with Stormy Daniels while she was pregnant. I just – I think he stands against everything and flies in the face of everything that a Catholic believes and holds dear. He is not a faithful man.
Behar groused: "He should know that."
Hang on. What does the Bible say, Joyless? "He ("she," in your case) that is without sin, let him (her) first cast a stone"? Yeah, that.
Next up, pretend-Republican Ana Navarro weighed in:
But listen, this dinner raised funds for Catholic Charities and some of the work the church does with the most needy. I actually worked with Catholic Charities when I was in high school. Sister Georgie Blaser sent me there, it was run by Sister Barbara Dowson in San Francisco. They help immigrants. So, to have Donald Trump sitting there and we are pretending that he is some sort of, like, upstanding citizen, I find it rather offensive. I am glad Kamala Harris wasn't there.
Of course Navarro was glad Harris wasn't there. She would no doubt have made a bigger fool out of herself than she did with the silly video, which was booed.
And finally, former Republican Alyssa Farrah Griffin piled on, whining about Trump having pointed out in recent days that Harris was going skip the event.
For the last few days, the Trump campaign has been out there, like, ‘Kamala Harris is skipping this Catholic event.’ Well, she was in the swing state of Wisconsin. And I would argue that's a better use of her time than showing up to a Catholic event using a racist slur about President Obama, swearing throughout it, making crass jokes and insulting people.
I imagine that the ladies, no doubt not the Lone Rangers on the left, were just as irritated that Trump hit the ball out of the park during his remarks. The former president was downright hilarious as he roasted Harris and her vice presidential running mate, Tim Walz.

Look, you know Trump is funny when even CNN's TDS-riddled Brian Stelter says so.
I thought he was funny! I thought he actually got a few great jokes in! He said he thought the best moment was when he made light of the assassination attempts. He thought despite the trauma of such an experience, he was still able to have a "light moment" about it. "And he took advantage of the fact that Kamala Harris wasn't there.
OK, who was that guy, and what did he do with Brian Stelter (AKA "The Potato")?

Finally, not even Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) could stop himself from laughing at a few of Trump's jokes.
Meanwhile, the snarling and grousing simps of "The View" will continue snarling and grousing. And if Donald Trump wins the election? My, oh my, how awesome the ladies' four-year encore will be.
