Resurfaced Video: Harris Claims 'Climate Anxiety' Makes Young People Think About Not 'Having Children'

As everyone from cartoonish White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre to Democrat lawmakers to their sycophantic simps in the lapdog media continue to work feverishly to recast presumptive presidential nominee Kamala Harris as a "moderate," facts and reality continue to show otherwise.

Latest case in point: On Saturday, a resurfaced 2023 video — via Donald Trump Jr. — shows Harris claiming "climate anxiety" is leading young people to reconsider their lives, including not having children.

WATCH: Resurfaced video shows Kamala Harris suggesting that young people should not have children due to climate change.

She calls climate anxiety "the fear of the future and the unknown of whether it makes sense for you to even think about having children."

Raise your hand if you know any "young people" so stressed out by "climate anxiety" that they're considering not having children.

Ladies and gentlemen... climate alarmist Kamala Harris (emphasis, mine):

We're not going to stop fighting for that. Because young people said, we're not leaving it to other people to decide how we're dealing with the climate crisis. You know, I've heard young leaders talk with me about a term they've coined, ‘climate anxiety,' right? — which is fear of the future and the unknown, and whether it makes sense to even think about having children, whether it makes sense for you to think about aspiring to buy a home because what will this climate be?

Where does one begin to deconstruct the above idiocy?

Assuming Kamala's above comments are even true, and assuming all of these "young leaders" aren't renowned climatologists, is it possible that their climate "anxiety" is the product of allowing themselves to become indoctrinated by the likes of climate alarmists such as Al Gore, John Kerry, Greta Thunberg, and today's Democrat Party? Why yes, yes, it is — and I'd bet a dollar that's exactly the case.

The nearly-year-old video Trump Jr. reposted on X caught the attention of X owner Elon Musk, who simply but effectively responded: "She is an extinctionist."

Far be it from me to disagree with Elon Musk, but I think he gave Harris too much credit, meaning I don't think she thinks about "climate change" any deeper than the talking points she parrots or the word salads she spews with regularity.

As my colleague Ward Clark wrote on July 24, Harris has long been an avid supporter of economy-wrecking "climate change" measures, including the "Green New Deal," which she supported and co-sponsored as a senator.

As a U.S. senator, Harris was an early co-sponsor of the Green New Deal, a non-binding blueprint for transitioning the country to 100% clean energy within a decade. The Green New Deal was first introduced by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Edward Markey in February 2019.

The climate proposal also includes job guarantees for displaced workers and a call for a national healthcare system. In 2019, as a candidate for president, Harris unveiled a plan to spend $10 trillion to reduce greenhouse gas emissions with a goal of getting to a zero-emissions economy by 2045.

Harris also wants to "make the shift faster" away from gas-powered vehicles to electric vehicles (EVs), which even the chairman of Toyota said in March is not the way forward.

Nevertheless, Kamala Harris and her fellow climate alarmists continue to tilt at windmills.
