When trying to understand the height of hypocrisy of the left, a necessary requirement is to first set aside facts, history, logic, and common sense; the aforementioned serve as little more than nuisances to the “good for me but not thee” rule so embraced by the illogical “logic” of the least self-aware group of people on the planet.

“Better” yet, they don’t even see it. This undeniable truth is no more visible than in the left’s response to jobs taken by former aides of former Republican administrations.

To that point, former Democrat administration officials have landed jobs in the media for decades — former Clinton aide George Stephanopoulos (ABC News) and Obama advisor Van Jones (CNN) come to mind — yet the left goes ballistic when officials from former Republican administrations dare to do the same, the most recent example being the early-March announcement that former Trump White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany had accepted a job with Satan’s own news outlet — Fox News. Oh, the humanity.

But now it’s even worse — in the eyes of the hypocritical left.

As announced by Fox News on Thursday morning, former Secretary of State under Donald Trump, Mike Pompeo, has accepted a paid contributor position with the network.

Fox News Media announced via press release that Pompeo has accepted a new contributor role, which will provide the former DefSec with a regular platform to not only get his message out on a regular basis; it will also serve the Kansan well if he eventually decides to seek a Senate seat —as has previously been speculated — or the presidency. Personally, I believe he’d be more inclined to run for the Senate.

Fox News Media CEO Suzzane Scott said of Pompeo:

“Mike Pompeo is one of America’s most recognized and respected voices on foreign policy and national security issues.

“I look forward to his contributions across our range of platforms to share his distinct perspective with our millions of viewers.”

Pompeo said he intends to keep doing what he exactly as he did while Secretary of State.

“As a now-former diplomat and member of Congress, and in this new role at FOX News Media, I intend to give viewers a candid, no-nonsense look at geopolitics, international relations and the America First policies that helped chart the course for unprecedented American prosperity and security.”

If we — including the left — know anything about Pompeo, we know he is fearless when it comes to speaking the truth and calling out those who deserve to be called out.

That right there is a perfect example of why the left so hates conservatives being given a regular platform from which to call out their “misstatements” —baldfaced lies — and now, in Pompeo’s case, to skewer the Biden administration from a professional perspective.
