Clueless in DC? Historical Border Data Burns Biden's 'Happens Every Year' to Charcoal Briquette

Most presidents at some point lie, dismiss or minimize reality, stretch the truth, blame their predecessors, or otherwise attempt to avoid “the buck stops here” responsibility. And now, less than three months after taking up residency in the White House, it’s crystal clear that no president has done so at a more blistering clip any better than Joe Biden.

Just a week ago, Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler “awarded” Biden with Four Pinocchios for falsely claiming Georgia’s new election law “ends voting hours early” and spreading false information — quite a distinguishing award, given that Four Pinocchios is the harshest rating Kessler awards.

Then there’s the border surge.

Biden, Circle-Back Psaki, & Co. have downplayed the Biden Border Crisis from the outset, with Biden last month declaring similar surges of illegal aliens streaming the southern border happen “every year.”

“The truth of the matter is: Nothing has changed. It happens every single, solitary year: There is a significant increase in the number of people coming to the border in the winter months of January, February, March. That happens every year.”

While Biden’s claim was partially true, numbers released on Thursday by Customs and Border Protection show that the current surge is dwarfing anything in recent memory. Kessler was on it, earlier today.

OOPS.

Even CBS Homeland and Security reporter Nicole Sganga was on it.

“NEW: Customs and Border Protection releases its monthly numbers, indicating 172,331 have been apprehended in March. That’s the biggest number recorded in nearly two decades.”

Nearly 20 years, Joe.

As WaPo reported, while there have been surges in the past, “the implication that what was underway at the border was therefore business as usual, though, doesn’t really hold up.”

Which makes this Circle-Back flashback even more ridiculous.

Finally, as Fox News reported, the Biden administration is still trying to blame the Trump administration, with an unnamed administration official saying “We’re continuing to dig out of the hole left by the previous administration on immigration.”

Here’s the thing. As I said at the top, while most administrations sometimes play loose with the truth, the Biden White House — with real data staring them in the eyes — makes past administrations look like pikers.
