It’s “almost” as if from the very moment Biden* announced Kamala Harris would “lead our efforts” to “stem the flow of ‘irregular migrants’ to the U.S.” because “she is the most qualified person to do it,” everyone from Harris’s spokesperson to Harris herself has done everything they can to walk back her job description — which even Biden clearly defined.
White House Press Secretary Jen “Circle Back” Psaki on Monday continued the concerted effort to lower expectations on what role Cackles will actually play in the whole convoluted Biden Border Crisis — Biden caused, and on purpose.
Psaki says VP Harris isn’t in charge of border crisis, just ‘root causes’ https://t.co/8VPEDMcaYW pic.twitter.com/ofo8SPp3tm

During her White House press briefing kabuki dance on Monday, Circle-Back was asked — yet again:
“Do you have an update on whether the vice president has plans to travel to Central American or to the border as part of her looking into the root causes of the immigration problem?”
Again, the Circle-Back Two-Step.
Kamala Harris is taking the Biden border crisis SO seriously that she isn’t even going to the border!

Psaki went Psaki —which is a combination of condescension, kabuki-dancing, deflection, and a look of desperation on her face that suggests she’d rather be anywhere on the planet at the moment than being faced with lying in response to a question.
“I don’t have an update on her travel but since you gave me the opportunity it’s important to understand and know that she is focused on addressing root causes in the region, and so travel I would expect.. um.. there… um… the border, and ‘expediting processing’ at the border, opening shelters, ensuring we’re moving kids out of border patrol facilities. That is really under the purview of the Department of Homeland Security and HHS—”
Stop the tape.
How and what does “expediting processing at the border, opening shelters, and moving kids out of border patrol facilities” have to do with, in Biden’s own words, “stemming the flow of ‘irregular migrants’ into the U.S.”?
Seems to me like “all of the above” would have the opposite effect: improving the efficiency of an increased flow of illegal aliens into the country.
And I might not be the sharpest crayon in the box, but if your house was being broken into by a mob, would your first inclination be to “focus on addressing root causes” of why the mob was breaking into your home — as it’s happening — or would you first take all steps necessary to stop the mob from breaking into your house? Then, if you’re inclined to “focus on addressing root causes” of why the mob broke into your house, knock yourself out.
Again, as to Harris and the border?
“They will all work together but the vice president’s focus is on the region’s root causes and engaging with governments directly.”
So what happened? Where was the disconnect? Did Biden’s mouth get out over his skis?
“So if she were to travel, it would be to Central America or something like that?”, asked the reporter in a follow-up question. “That would be my expectation,” said Circle-Back. “But I don’t have any travel to preview at this time.”
Hey — what do these reporters expect from Kamala? A vice president can only do so much at a time. Besides, she has far more important issues on her plate right now. For example:
As we reported last week, Harris went “one on one with Bill Clinton on Friday to talk about the impact of COVID on women,” but more importantly, “empowering women and girls in the U.S. and around the world.”
As more than a few women learned, “back in the day,” “going one-on-one with Bill Clinton” could be quite the experience. Besides, who better for Harris to “go one-on-one” with about “empowering women” than Bill Clinton? Of all the guys on the planet, who knows more about more women than Slick?
Kamala Harris will go one-on-one with Bill Clinton on Friday to talk about the impact of COVID-19 on women, and empowering women and girls in the U.S. and around the world as part of a Clinton Global Initiative event.

But most importantly, as lamented by The Most Trusted Name in News™ [sarc] on Sunday, poor Kamela is still “living out of suitcases” [in a luxury suite] because the private residence at the Naval Observatory reserved for vice presidents is still undergoing renovations and she’s getting damn “frustrated with it,” America.
“It has been more than two months since Kamala Harris was sworn in as vice president of the United States, a historic moment for the country, as Harris is the first woman and the first woman of color to hold the second highest [sic] office in the land. Yet, Harris — along with her husband, Georgetown Law professor Douglas Emhoff —Uno is still, ostensibly, living out of suitcases, unable to move into the private residence reserved for the vice president because it’s still undergoing renovations.”
Unconscionable. I’m sure CNN would have also cried its eyes out if Mike and Karen Pence would’ve been forced to endure the same horrific treatment.

Man up, Kammie. Show us what you’re made of. You got this!
One final note. I wrote for another conservative site during the Obama administration. Throwing rocks at the Obama White House was always a target-rich environment. Now that Donald Trump is out of office and we’re no longer forced to defend against incoming rocks and once again throwing them — God knows what a target-rich environment the Biden White House is — is almost too much fun.
The operative word being “almost.”
