Welp, add former NBC “Today” host and CBS News anchor Katie Couric to the list of left-wingers calling for the “reprogramming” of supporters of President Trump. During a Friday appearance on “Real Time with Bill Maher“, the “journalist” also lauded Impeachment Charade 2.0.

During a panel discussion, Maher kicked off the festivities by noting the “overwhelming support” for Trump from Congressional Republicans during Wednesday’s second impeachment vote — in which only 10 Republicans supported the Democrat-led charade.

Long-time “Rush Limbaugh Show” producer Bo Snerdley tweeted about Couric’s appearance on Maher’s HBO program.

Her “cute little” disgust with all things Trump and his supporters was hilarious.

“It is so shocking. [Uh-huh, Katie. Is it also “so shocking” that Hillary Clinton still blames everything and everyone, except herself, of course, for losing the 2016 to the Devil incarnate?]

“Not only are they not conceding, Bill, but their thoughts — that there might have been some collusion among members of Congress, some are refusing to go through magnetometers […] to check for weapons, they’re not wearing masks during this siege.” [Oh, the humanity! No masks!!!]

“I mean, it’s really bizarre, isn’t it, when you think about how AWOL so many of these members of Congress have gotten. [Is it also “really bizarre,” Katie, how Stage IV Trump Derangement Syndrome has riddled the bitter brains of Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Schiff for Brains™, and the entirety of the Democrat Party, along with you and your fellow left-wing media sock puppets? Oh, and Big Tech autocrats?]

“But I also think some of them are believing the garbage that they are being fed 24/7 on the internet by their constituents [as opposed to “being fed” by CNN, PMSNBC, Big Tech], and they bought into this big lie. [“Big lie” as in Russian “collusion,” you mean, Katie?]

“And the question is how are we going to really almost deprogram these people who have signed up for the cult of Trump.” [Should we also deprogram the TDS-afflicted followers of CNN and PMSNBC?]

As reported by BizPac Review, several weeks after the election, as the Trump campaign and other Trump-supporting lawyers filed legal challenges to election results in several states, Democratic National Committee member David Atkins also argued that someone needs to “deprogram” Trump supporters, tweeting:

“No seriously…how *do* you deprogram 75 million people? Where do you start? Fox? Facebook? We have to start thinking in terms of post-WWII Germany or Japan. Or the failures of Reconstruction in the South.

“This is not your standard partisan policy disagreement. This is a conspiracy theory fueled by a belligerent death cult against reality & basic decency.

“The only actual policy debates of note are happening within the dem coalition between left and center-left.”

And of course, there are left-wingers who want to go waaay beyond “deprogramming” and “reprogramming” Trump supporters. Leftists who want to “hold accountable” former Trump officials. Who can forget Sen. Lizzie Warren (D-Socialist) and her ridiculous call during her disastrous 2020 presidential campaign for a “Truth and Reconciliation Commission?

The depth of arrogance of the left-wing elitists is astounding.

These asshats people genuinely believe what they are saying. They genuinely believe they are the moralistic Guardians of the Galaxy — that it is their duty to “cleanse” and “reprogram” supporters of President Trump — in a heroic effort to purify the Trumpers’ wayward souls so, hopefully, they can return to “normal” society. [rolling eyes emoji]

And then? “Nuremberg.”
