Pelosi Appoints AOC, Other 'Squad' Members to Powerful Oversight Committee; Leftists Promptly Reveal Radical Agenda

First things, first. As reported by The New York Post on Tuesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has appointed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-Math Wizard) and two of her “Squad” comrades to the powerful House Oversight and Reform Committee, which will give the far-left lawmakers a platform from which to push their radical agenda on Joe Biden.

Joining AOC are Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-TDS) and newcomer Rep. Cori Bush (D-BLM).

As I write, the dust continues to settle on the Georgia Senate runoff elections, with Raphael Warnock (D) the projected winner over incumbent Kelly Loeffler (R), and Jon Ossoff (R) likely to defeat incumbent David Perdue (R). If Ossoff’s lead holds, the Democrats retake control of the U.S. Senate, giving them a clean sweep of the federal government.

So it appears that “it” has finally happened.

Democrats will be in a position to advance their agenda without sufficient Republican opposition to stop them. As reported by Daily Wire on Wednesday, Democrats and leftists have immediately called for radical legislative action that they intend to push Congress to enact and Biden to sign into law. Here’s a sampling:

Leftist Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) called for “transformative change,” “recurring survival checks,” “racial justice,” “climate action,” “repro justice,” and “MUCH more.”

Left-wing activist Paige Wolf was her usual “pleasant” self. **Strong language**

Another left-wing activist, Walker Bragman had a laundry list of radical demands, as well.

Democrats will have complete control of the federal government for two full years.

They can pack the court.

They can end the wars.

They can cut the (monthly) checks.

They can guarantee healthcare.

They can forgive student and medical debt.

If they don’t, you know who to blame.

Putting the Democrats on notice, are you, Walker?

And how should the Democrats “get ‘er done”? “Eliminate the filibuster, ram through huge relief to everyday people, and ride it to 2022.”

Brian Fallon, a former aide to Hillary Clinton, tweeted: “Make DC a state. Restore the Voting Rights Act. Eliminate the filibuster. Reform the courts. Revive democracy.” No doubt Hillary wistfully read Fallon’s tweet, thinking to her bitter self, “If only…”

As reported by The Blaze, Rep. Chris Pappas (D-NH) released a list of top priorities.

Stimulus Checks: House Democrats passed a bill that would provide Americans with $2,000 stimulus checks after President Donald Trump asked for stimulus checks greater than $600. The Republican-controlled Senate, however, squashed the effort.

The Equality Act: “The Equality Act would provide consistent and explicit anti-discrimination protections for LGBTQ people across key areas of life, including employment, housing, credit, education, public spaces and services, federally funded programs, and jury service.”

The DREAM Act: A bill introduced to Congress nearly a dozen times over the last two decades, often with bipartisan sponsors, it would “pathway to legal status for undocumented youth who came to this country as children,” according to American Immigration Council.

Voting Rights Act: Democrats have attempted to legislatively restore a part of the Voting Rights Act that was struck down by the Supreme Court in 2013. With McConnell in charge of the Senate, Democrats have been unsuccessful in their endeavors.

“Climate action.” My favorite, bless their “global warming” hearts.

So here we are. Less than a week into 2021. Georgia happened. The leftist demands will keep coming. And as I wrap up this piece, protesters are trying to break down the door into the House chamber, and a woman has reportedly been shot in the process.

Remember a while back when I asked, “Why do I get the feeling that, in reference to 2020, 2021 is about to say “Hold my beer”? Yeah.
