'Chaos' at the Border? Former ICE Acting Director: 'Every American Should Be Afraid' if Biden Becomes President

With week after week of the 24-hour news cycle dominated by the battle over allegations of presidential election fraud, wave whatever-number-we’re-now-up-to of the COVID pandemic “surge,” and wrangling back and forth over a COVID relief bill between both chambers of Congress and the White House, many festering issues of national concern have received little or no attention. One such festering issue is the U.S.-Mexican border.

If you’re among the tens of millions of Americans concerned over not only the continuing influx of illegal aliens but perhaps even more so by the roughly 3.25 million illegal aliens under ICE’s undetained docket — comprised of aliens who have been released from detention with final deportation orders or are awaiting final court — an overwhelming number of whom have committed crimes — many of them violent — beyond immigration violations, Tim Homan, former ICE acting director, is here to concern you even further.

During a recent interview with the Daily Caller News Foundation, Homan predicted a dire situation at the U.S.-Mexico border if Joe Biden is certified as president of the United States by Congress in just six days. In a word, Homan warned a Biden presidency would lead to “chaos” within our immigration system. In eight words, he said it even more bluntly: “If he becomes president, we lose the border.”

Being the no-nonsense, bottom-line guy he is, Homan spoke frankly about how he views border security under Biden as contrasted with that of Trump.

The former acting director, who led ICE between January 2017 and June 2018, told the DCNF illegal immigration has dropped 80% under the Trump administration and compared that to a Doctors Without Borders report that said 30% of migrant women are raped on their journey to the United States.

“For those who hate Trump, they need to think about this — how many women did not get raped because of what the president has done?”

“How many children didn’t die because of what the president has done?

“How many immigrants didn’t die because of what the president has done?

“How many millions of dollars did the criminal cartels not make because of what the president has done?”

In addition to Biden’s announcement that he would immediately place a 100-day moratorium on all non-felony deportations, as I reported in mid-November, the presumed 46th president of the United States has also pledged to raise the annual number of refugees admitted to the country from Trump’s limit of 15,000 to 125,000 or more.

Homan was incredulous.“What kind of message does that send to the rest of the world?”, he asked?

“When you say we shouldn’t be removing illegal aliens unless they commit a felony, you’re inviting every illegal alien into our country because they know there are no consequences to entering the country illegally anymore so long as they don’t get arrested for a felony.”

I hate to spring it on Tom, but Democrats exactly know every bit of that.

Remember, everything the Democrat Party opposes, supports, fights for, or fights against, can be connected to the ballot box with no more than two dots — and in this case, the math could not be simpler: more Hispanics = more future Democrat voters.

“Every American should be afraid of what’s going to happen to our border if Joe Biden becomes president,” Homan declared.

Tom Homan was not only right; he was right for reasons beyond “just” border security.
