In the midst of the pregame hoopla in anticipation of the Trump-Biden steel cage match in Cleveland on Tuesday night, Donald Trump earlier in the day quietly picked up his third Nobel Peace Prize nomination.
As we reported earlier this month, Trump signed two Middle East peace deals with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Emirati Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al Nahyan, and Bahrain Foreign Minister Abdullatif al-Zayani, for which he received his first two nominations.
As reported by Sky News, Trump received the nomination from four, Australian law professors who lauded his troop reductions in Afghanistan, brokering the Mideast agreements, and increasing energy independence, which they said lessens the U.S. need for military intervention. Professor David Flint told Sky News:
“He went ahead and negotiated against all advice, but he did it with common sense. He negotiated directly with the Arab states concerned and Israel and brought them together.”
Flint was effusive in his praise of Trump — refreshingly so, given the 24/7 shellacking heaped on the president by the Democrats and their liberal media lapdogs throughout his entire presidency.
“He has, firstly, common sense, and he is only guided by national interest […] and therefore an interest in the western alliance.
“What he has done with the Trump Doctrine is that he has decided he would no longer have America in endless wars, wars which achieve nothing but the killing of thousands of young Americans.
“So, he’s reducing America’s tendency to get involved in any and every war. The states are lining up, Arab and Middle Eastern, to join that network of peace which will dominate the Middle East.
“He is really producing peace in the world in a way in a which none of his predecessors did, and he fully deserves the Nobel Peace Prize.”
And there was this — which Team Trump should hammer home over the remaining 34 days before the election. (Emphasis added)
“He’s also been the first American president to work out how to make America energy independent of the Middle East.”
One Twitterer sarcastically referenced the so-called “mainstream” media: “I’m sure this will be headline news on the MSM.” Did you catch any of those headlines? Me neither.
President Trump locked down his third Nobel Peace Prize nomination after a group of Australian professors nominated him based on his “Trump Doctrine.”

During a monologue on Monday’s “The Five,” Fox News host Greg Gutfeld took a few shots at co-host and miserably-bad, Democrat-token Juan Williams over Trump’s nomination, the Peace Prize itself, and Barack Obama — while also praising Trump for receiving it.
“Guess who was nominated for a Nobel Peace prize — again?” Gutfeld began.
“True, they’re dime-a-dozen trinkets, so useless that they threw one at President Obama just for brushing his teeth. But it’s Trump’s third nomination for something new — again.
Australian law professors have nominated him for ‘The Trump doctrine’ — a mix of common sense and national interest.
It is funny. Trump has been nominated 3 times, not for making liberals feel good, but for real stuff: Middle East peace, reducing our military footprint while expanding our capabilities, beating ISIS, all while confusing pacifists and generals.”
“It’s the eloquent statesmen who send kids to die versus the obnoxious ruffian who keeps your kids at home,” he said.
Gutfeld’s allusion to Obama was based on the former president winning the 2009 Peace Prize, an award Nobel Secretary Geir Lundestad told AP in 2015 he regretted.
“Even many of Obama’s supporters believed that the prize was a mistake,” Lundestad said. “In that sense, the committee didn’t achieve what it had hoped for.” Trust us, Geir — neither did Obama in eight years on his self-gilded throne.
And Trump’s “strong personality,” for which he is regularly bashed by Democrats and their liberal media sock puppets from coast to coast, as Gutfeld sees it?
“No one denies Trump’s got a strong personality. He’ll never win a prize for his ‘mostly peaceful’ press conferences.
But that argument is four years old — which is why the people still crying about it seem like they’re four-year-olds.”
In my piece earlier this month titled Ric Grenell: Only an ‘Outsider’ Like Trump Could Change the ‘Calculus’ for Mideast Peace, I reported on former Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell’s belief that only an “outsider” like Trump could have pulled off the Mideast peace deals, both of which earned him Nobel nominations.
“These are the types of things that happen when an outsider brings a perspective like President Trump into the situation and changes the calculus for how we do foreign policy.
I think we gotta cheer Donald Trump’s style. I think we’ve gotta say his style is making Americans safer and certainly making peace deals while he’s bringing our troops home.”
The Left, of course, lauded the Nobel Committee in 2009 for awarding the Prize to Obama — the savior of mankind, in their eyes — but now that Trump has merely been nominated — albeit it, three times?
After Trump’s second nomination, the Atlantic called for the Nobel Peace Prize to be “ended.”
“The Trump nomination shows that peace had its chance,” the left-leaning magazine wrote, “and blew it.”
No doubt Trump’s third nomination will send crazed Trump-haters into apoplectic meltdown.
Oh, and Barack Obama was unavailable for comment.
