Poor Rachel Maddow, bless her heart. So smug. So pretentious. So eager to play “gotcha” with Donald Trump at every opportunity — most of which she concocts in her TDS-afflicted head.
During the opening night of the Republican National Convention, she took a shot at Trump — and was promptly shot down in flames, herself.
The ever-arrogant MSNBC host broke in to the convention to “fact-check” Trump on his earlier comments about the promise of convalescent plasma in the treatment of COVID patients.
One of my “favorite” things about Maddow is not always what she says, but how arrogantly and condescendingly she says it.
Grit your teeth, and check it out.
“The president said ‘Your blood is very valuable, we just did that plasma thing.’ This again is the president not talking in a way that is copacetic with the science. Uh, the White House did pressure the FDA to approve convalescent plasma, and or emergency use.
It’s against the recommendation of FDA scientists, and the head of the NHI, and Dr. Fauci that they did that.
There isn’t any strong scientific evidence that suggests that convalescent plasma and antibodies actual is a sound therapeutic that’s actually going to be a value for treating people with coronavirus…”
She continued to spew nonsense, of course.

Just one problem, Rache.
Ummm Fauci did a video about this weeks ago.

Zach Parkinson, Deputy Director of Communications for Donald Trump, was happy to post video of Fauci’s comments.
You know, just in case Maddow “forgot.”
“Fauci told Americans less than two weeks ago to donate plasma. He literally recorded a video asking people to do it,” Parkinson tweeted.
“My name is Dr. Tony Fauci here at the National Institutes of Health. If you’ve recovered from COVIE-19 your plasma has antibodies that may help others fight COVID. Please donate plasma now. You can literally save lives.”
Oopsie.

Parkinson wasn’t done with Maddow — not even close.

Then he brought the hammer down.
There’s an entire HHS webpage w/ testimonials from the nation’s top public health officials encouraging people to donate blood plasma and touting its promise

Zach Parkinson: 1, Rachel Maddow: 0. Final score. Thanks for playing.
What is it with liberals and FACTS?
I mean, I get it that Trump Derangement Syndrome is a crippling, debilitating disease, but allowing it to so destroy one’s brain — that one being Rachel Maddow, in this case, but it could have been any number of Trump-loathing liberal media Democrat lapdogs — is almost sad.
“Almost” being the operative word. The late, great, New England Democrat, Daniel Patrick Moynihan, said it best:
“You are entitled to your opinion. But you are not entitled to your own facts.”
Speaking of MSNBC, the “news” outlet cut away from the convention at one point so its 27 viewers wouldn’t see up-and-coming black Republican star Kim Klasic’s absolute skewering of the Democrat Party and what Democrats have done to her hometown of Baltimore, as reported by my RedState colleague Nick Arama.
Obviously, MSNBC was afraid of Klasic’s facts, as well.
