Norman Lear, television legend told Kenya Barris, the creator of Blackish, that Ann Coulter was dating his old friend and star of Good Times, Jimmie Walker in an interview for Entertainment Weekly.

Lear who created some of the most iconic television shows of the 1970s, including All In the Family and it’s spin-off The Jeffersons, Maude and many others, gave the interview as part of EW’s “Untold Stories” issue. Lear discusses casting Jimmie Walker in his hit show, Good Times, before mentioning the juicy Ann Coulter tidbit.

“I love him; he’s a wonderful guy, but I’ll tell you something about him that’ll astound you: He dates Ann Coulter,” Lear said. The news surprised Barris, who then listened as Lear explained he and his wife had dinner with Coulter and Walker. Lear added that Coulter turned out to be “a dreamy, delicious, sweet person.”

“J.J. dates Ann Coulter!” said Barris. “You couldn’t write that! That’s fantastic!”

Walker and Coulter rumors have swirled before, with the conservative commentator denying the romance in 2013, saying the two were just close friends.
