This should really confuse everyone. At a speaking engagement at The Federalist Society, Vice President Mike Pence explained, he believes that Donald Trump is keeping his promises. Pence told the press, in regards to Trump’s SCOTUS nominee, Neil Gorsuch, “We’re in the promise keeping business”.

Pence then took to twitter to lay out his case for Neil Gorsuch.
Judge Gorsuch is one of the most mainstream, respected, and exceptionally qualified Supreme Court nominees in American history.

The Vice President also scolded the Democrats for suggesting that the SCOTUS seat was “stolen”, saying “it doesn’t belong to any party”. Mike Pence stated in no uncertain terms that Neil Gorsuch will be confirmed, “one way or another”. Gauntlet thrown.
