New Poll: Most Americans Excited for Trump Era

People are done with 2016. It’s been a long and treacherous year for many Americans, and according to a Morning Consult Poll, contrary to what the mainstream media would have you believe, most are ready for 2017.

A whopping 72% of those polled are hopeful for 2017. More than half are excited and believe they’ll do better financially in 2017. Certainly Obama isn’t responsible for all the atrocities in 2016, but his legacy will be that of a nation exhausted by the constant class warfare and struggle mentality of the last 8 years. It’s also worth noting that even with all the fear mongering the media has done, less than 20% claim to be fearful of a future under President Trump.

The Obama years in short, have sucked. 2016 was the wicked little cap on nearly a decade of focusing on what “America was doing wrong” has taken it’s toll. The good news is, Americans seem genuinely relieved that Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton.

Some don’t believe in that voter confidence matters, but it reflects the economic attitude of the country, those who will start new jobs, new businesses and invest. It even indicates how likely we are to see a rise in the housing market and retail sector. If Americans are feeling good about the end of 2016 and the beginning of 2017, it is also a reflection of just how poorly the Obama Era was for the majority.

Obama’s legacy will be discussed ad nauseum for years to come, however his real legacy will be the rejection of his policies in elections across the country. His failures are highlighted with each Republican victory in the Senate, House and State races. Americans have proven they are ready for a fresh start, can’t disagree with them on that. Here’s to 2017, and the much anticipated “Trump Era”.
