Los Angeles-- Dodgers pitcher Julio Urías was arrested last night around 11:30 PM in the vicinity of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Hoover St. in Los Angeles. Urias was booked on suspicion of felony domestic violence by the Los Angeles Police Department and was subsequently released on a $50,000 bond. Urias, 27, has been arrested previously in 2019 for domestic battery; however, the District Attorney decided to drop the charges and instead made an agreement with Urias to enter into a deferment program that required him to attend a 52-week domestic violence counseling program and not be arrested for domestic battery again for the following year. Upon completion of the terms, his case would officially be dropped.

MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred suspended Urias for 20 games following his first arrest for violating the league's policy regarding domestic violence, and it is highly possible he might be suspended again for 20 days for this latest arrest.

Urias has been with the Dodgers since they initially signed him in 2012. He made his debut for the team in 2016, led the National League in wins in 2021, and was named to the All-MLB Second Team in 2021 and 2022.

Urias is scheduled to appear in court on September 27th
