Mel Gibson Was Asked Why He Thinks a Kamala Harris Presidency Would Be a Bad Thing, and Hoo-Boy

For whatever reason, we mortals love to obsess over what the "Hollywood gods" think. Of course not everyone is under their spell, but it can creep up on the best of us when we admire a singer or artist. For those on the Right, the loud voice of the Left can sometimes make us wrongly feel like we are a minority. Every once in a while, however, we get a little extra wind in our sails when someone of influence speaks out with common sense and knowledge.

Mel Gibson gave a rare spur-of-the-moment interview to a TMZ reporter at LAX airport who asked him about the election. The results were quite entertaining.

The reporter asked him who he was going to vote for and the conversation went as follows:

"Oh man, that's a big question... I don't think it's going to surprise anyone who I vote for."

"I'm gonna guess.. Trump? Is that a bad guess?"

"I think it's a pretty good guess."

"What do you think the world will be like in a second term with President Trump?"

"I know what it will be like if we let her in. And that ain't good. Miserable track record, appalling track record. No policies to speak of. And she's got the IQ of a fence post."

This is one of those situations where you know you shouldn't laugh, but it's too hard not to. Within a couple weeks, hopefully we will be done with this endless torment of incoherent interviews, but for now it's really hard to understand how this woman cannot answer a single question.

Trump and Gibson have somewhat of a story that's been going this year. In January, Trump posted on truth social in response to a meme that showed a clean shaven Mel Gibson titled "Me voting for Trump in 2016" with another picture of Mel Gibson from the movie Braveheart captioned "Me voting for Trump in 2024". Trump responded, "Either way, Mel Gibson is GREAT!"

Then in July, Trump was seen chatting with Gibson, Mark Wahlberg, and Guy Fieri at a UFC event. It is reported Joe Rogan also engaged with the President at the event but is not pictured in this post.

Gibson isn't the only recent celebrity to speak out in favor of the former president. Dennis Quaid gave a memorable speech at a Coachella rally for Trump earlier this month. He encouraged Americans to be proactive about the future of our nation and make a choice about what they want.

Perhaps we should not look to artists for guidance on matters that are not their expertise, but it still is encouraging to hear likeminded beliefs coming from some of the most talented people of our time.
