OUTRAGE: DA Bragg Drops Charges on Nearly All the Columbia Rioters Arrested

No one is above the law — unless you are a friend of the Left in New York. While Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg digs up years-old misdemeanors and makes them into phantom felonies for his political opponents, he washes the slate clean for 31 of the 46 violent protestors arrested in the Columbia University riot.

The protestors were charged with trespassing and burglary after they stormed Columbia University and barricaded themselves within the college. Even though they were found (and filmed) inside the building and removed by police from the building where they trespassed, Bragg dropped the charges due to "lack of evidence."

Prosecutors largely cited lack of evidence, such as security video footage, that could tie the students or staff to the building takeover for leaving them free and clear without even a slap on the wrist.

What more evidence do we need to see that the judicial system — and Alvin Bragg — are wholly corrupt and using the system for their own political whims?

“This is turnstile justice,” said Michael Nussbaum, a 25-year member of the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York.

In the poor attempt to justify the conspicuous partiality, bogus excuses were given:

Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Stephen Millan said that prosecutors had trouble moving forward with charges due to “extremely limited” video surveillance that couldn’t prove anything was damaged inside the building.

Of course, there was a reason for the limited surveillance:

Milan also told Judge Kevin McGrath that cameras inside Hamilton Hall were covered up during the police raid, and that no cops were injured.

And to add that,

Protesters wore masks during the demonstration, making it difficult to point out the specific antics of each individual, the DA’s office added.

Students, staff, Jews, and supporters of Israel were not the only ones affected by this illegal encampment and the subsequent clearing of charges. It is an insult to our law enforcement officers who are called to respond to these riots not to be supported by the government and for the perpetrators of the crime(s) to be treated like they have protected status.

“Lack of evidence?” one said. “Apparently body-worn camera wasn’t enough?”

“We have a DA giving them what amounts to a mandate to push the envelope further now,” fumed another veteran cop.

The envelope has been pushed indeed. A clear message has been sent. It's 2024, and it's cool, even noble, to hate Jews. It's 2024, and the only rioters who are prosecuted are right-wing offenders. 1,186 persons were charged with trespassing on federal property on Jan. 6, yet with the Columbia protests, they now claim they can't infallibly identify that the 31 offenders were actually caught in the act.

There has been systematic bias in the openly hateful and violent left-wing protests ever since the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020. The Left is the true threat to our democracy and freedoms. They aren't even hiding their politicization of the justice system anymore. People are right to be outraged. This is unacceptable and will only encourage more of this despicable behavior.
