Pro-Hamas Supporters Sulk Over Rescue - Israel Shows It Knows What It Is Doing

In a triumphant moment of the Israel-Hamas war, four hostages were rescued overnight. Celebrations have erupted all over the world. It’s a moment where we remember why the IDF has persevered throughout this war, and how thankful we should be that Israel didn’t listen to Biden and others who tried to pressure them to cease.

Not all are celebrating, though. It should surprise no one that the Hamas supporters are sulking.

Criticism was quick to erupt over the mission that was carried out in the center of a refugee camp, in a marketplace where the hostages were held in civilian homes. Misleading reports are surfacing about the number of civilians killed in the operation that rescued the four hostages who had been held for 8 months. In almost every other incident, it takes time for authorities to accurately assess casualties. However, Hamas is notorious for throwing out inflated numbers almost instantly.

What was missing from the critic’s chastisement was any mention of the fact that Hamas purposely hid the innocent captives in civilian homes. It has also been reported that during the conflict, “dozens of terrorists with RPGs and machine guns ran through the alleys towards the targets.” Hamas has shown no concern with protecting their own citizens, even from their own fire. But there will be no criticism of the terrorist organization from the pro-Palestine crowd because quite frankly, no Jews, no news. Palestinian deaths are only deemed as valuable parts of the narrative as long as the deaths come from the hands of Israelis.

The duplicity and hypocrisy revealed through this conflict are unmatched.

This rescue operation shows that Israel knows what it is doing and we should support them. The only way that has successfully been shown to have returned any of the hostages is through military pressure.

President Biden stirred up controversy when he presumptuously announced a hostage deal that he claimed was Israel’s idea. The deal called for a permanent ceasefire but did not clearly specify the war goals Israel has demanded to be achieved first, mainly the destruction of Hamas:

“At this point, Hamas no longer is capable of carrying out another October 7, just one of Israel’s main objectives in this war, and quite frankly a righteous one,” Biden said at the White House.

He had just laid out a three-phase Israeli proposal that would pair a release of hostages with a “full and complete ceasefire,” a plan he said presented the best hope to bring peace to Gaza.

Israel never said it wanted to cut down Hamas mostly, leaving part of it intact. Saying that it is sufficient that they are no longer able to carry out an attack in the size and scale of October 7th is a manipulation of the words Prime Minister Netanyahu has used to describe their goal: total victory.

Israel doesn’t want to just push them back, they want to destroy their abilities completely and bring the leaders to justice. The Prime Minister has also been clear that they will not end the war in exchange for the hostages alone. They intend to completely uproot and destroy Hamas in every sense of the way so as to provide a secure future for Israel.

The victory overnight that rescued the four hostages shows what can be achieved. If President Biden had his way, Israel would have cowered back and continued on with the back-and-forth conflict that has spread over decades. He would have them win the battle but not push to end the conflict for good. Either it's a lack of foresight, cowardice, or apathy but the foreign policy Biden has shown is weak and foolish. It’s a good thing Israel has a strong conservative leader to navigate these perilous times and push forward for Israel’s victory. The world celebrates with the hostages who are now home with their families.
