More hard-working Americans are speaking out against President Joe Biden’s plan to “forgive” student loan debt. This time, it is Pennsylvania iron workers weighing in on the debt “forgiveness.”

Several workers at Donsco, Inc. spoke to Fox News about Biden “canceling” $10,000 of student loans if they earned less than $125,000, and Pell Grant recipients having $20,000 “canceled.”

A supervisor at the Donsco plant, Jim Davis, told Fox News:

“It’s not going to affect the people that are here, the people that are actually out doing all the work.”

He added that Biden’s “going to help the people in the bigger cities because that’s what [he] wants.”

Colon cancer survivor Francisco Hernandez was forced out of retirement due to 40-year high inflation and sounded off about the student debt “forgiveness.”

“A lot of those families are rich. They have the money to pay it off, so they get a break and they get to sit on their couch and their kids are stuck with a degree they can’t even use.”

“The sad part is the rich aren’t going to pay for this, we are. Everything is a gift, but that goes on the back of our debt and the taxpayers are the ones who have to cover it.”

When announcing the bailout, Biden claimed:

“An entire generation is now saddled with unsustainable debt in exchange for an attempt, at least, at a college degree. That’s what today’s announcement is about. It’s about opportunity. It’s about giving people a fair shot.”

It was their choice to take out the debt; it is their responsibility to pay it back. It’s not a fair shot because if it was truly fair, those who were responsible, worked hard, raised a family, and managed to pay off their debt would get the same treatment as those who are irresponsible and will have their debt “forgiven” while we the taxpayers will foot the bill. Of course, there are many people who don’t want their debt “forgiven,” and they want to work to pay it off because it is the right thing to do.

Tony Bell is an employee at Donsco foundry, and he gave his take on the bailout:

“I think it’s a bad idea. Donsco is always hiring people, these college kids can always come here on their time off and work and pay their debt back.”

Bell’s colleague, Kevin Wasileski, said:

“If they signed the contract they should pay for it. ’Why should I pay for somebody else’s college? … I don’t think a plumber should be paying for a doctor’s free medical school.”

“I don’t think a plumber should be paying for a doctor’s free medical school.”

I previously reported that the student loan “forgiveness” proposal could face legal challenges. As hard-working Americans continue to show their disapproval of Biden’s plan to “cancel” student debt, voters might be energized in November to hold Biden accountable. No hard-working American and taxpayer should be responsible for somebody else’s debt.

It’s a choice to take on student debt. It is not a choice to be diagnosed with cancer, yet no one bails those patients who have to pay off medical debt. It’s because that does not benefit the Democrats politically.

Americans will have their voices heard in November.
