I live in California, so by the time I wake up in the morning the news cycle has already been spinning for a few hours. Monday morning I woke up to the news that Trump is now – more than ever – Literally Hitler™ because he didn’t bring his son to the World Series baseball game. A game, by the way, at which he was booed by the crowd.
Shocking to imagine a father might not want to expose his son to that type of hostility. The weirdo Left has maniacs like Maxine Waters encouraging people to confront Republicans and Trump officials in public and make their lives hell. They cheer on grown men assaulting teenagers in public for wearing red hats. They relish the images of reporters like Andy Ngo having their skulls bashed in for simply reporting on the “wrong” stories. They approve of spitting on and hurling drinks and other substances at Trump supporters outside of rallies. The Left has become absolutely unhinged…and they wonder why the president might not want to bring his 13-year-old son out in public?

But it got me thinking about the obtuse hypocrisy of the modern alt-left moving into 2020. Obviously a lot of people hate President Trump and they are desperate to see him lose office next year. But what exactly are they offering as an alternative? I broke it down on Twitter and I’m sharing it here for those of you who don’t care to spend too much time over there.

Amen! I don’t care for his personality/how he conducts himself sometimes on this platform, but I do agree w/many of his policies, and think he loves this country/tries to put it first. Fact is, the far left has pushed a former moderate to be more conservative these past 3 yrs.

You would think that the Left would have learned the hard way after Hillary’s crushing defeat that simply pointing and saying, “Hey, I’m not him!” is not nearly enough to win an election. We all like to joke about how stupid the American electorate is but they’re smarter than we think and they know an empty marketing plan when they see one.
Right now the progressive Left is the Fyre Festival of politics – lots of naked chicks riding around on Jetski’s and sipping expensive champagne but in reality once you get over there it’s just a bunch of sad, empty camping tents and warm cheese sandwiches on white bread.
