Trump on Epstein: I Knew Him the Way Everybody in Palm Beach Knew Him

The ripples of the Epstein scandal are still wafting out and catching people in their wakes.

It is know secret that Jeffrey Epstein had connections and associations in nearly every part of the world of wealth. Since the story of his arrest broke many have been waiting to see how his famous and wealthy friends would respond…if at all.

Perhaps the most notable friend with the most damnable evidence against him so far is Bill Clinton. Clinton released a mealy-mouthed statement on Monday denying any real relationship with Epstein. No one seemed very convinced and in fact even many of his allies in the media questioned the strategy of getting out in front of the allegations rather than waiting.

And of course everyone wants to know what Trump thinks. On Tuesday while taking questions at the White House President Trump finally weighed in. His associations with Epstein are no secret. Trump claimed he knew Epstein only as a “fixture” on the Palm Beach scene and went on to say he’d had a falling out with Epstein nearly 15 years ago and the two had not spoken since. It is worth noting Clinton also said he had not spoken to Epstein in the last decade.
