Hillary Blames FBI Director Comey For Loss In Call To Donors

Only a few days after losing the presidential election to Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton has made it perfectly clear who she believes is responsible for her loss.

In a call to donors on Saturday, Hillary pointed a finger at James Comey.

On October 28, with the election right around the corner, the FBI director notified Congress that he was reopening the investigation. Devices owned by Clinton’s trusted top aide, Huma Abedin, held emails that had not previously been looked at by Comey’s team. These devices were tied to Abedin’s estranged husband Anthony Weiner and his underage sexting scandal.

On November 6, only two days before the election, Comey issued a letter indicating that no further action would be taken regarding Clinton’s personal email server, and that the FBI’s July conclusion had not changed.

Regardless of that, Hillary pointed blame at Comey, as reported by The Telegraph:

Mrs Clinton said on a conference call with top donors on Saturday that Mr Comey’s intervention in the election had reversed her “momentum” and energised Donald Trump’s supporters.

Speaking to the donors, all of whom gave at least $100 million to her campaign, Mrs Clinton faulted the FBI director for “raising doubts” about her so close to the election.

That analysis was echoed by Navin Nayak, the head of the Clinton campaign’s opinion research division.

“We believe that we lost this election in the last week. Comey’s letter in the last 11 days of the election both helped depress our turnout and also drove away some of our critical support among college-educated white voters…

I guess there’s absolutely no way her loss could be tied to the fact that she was the worst possible candidate the Democrats could have offered this year. Her icy, establishment demeanor, and complicated, scandal-ridden past surely had nothing to do with her loss, right? That private email server was all just a sideshow cooked up by her enemies, correct?

The fact that Hillary Clinton lost the presidential election to a buffoonish joke of a candidate in the form of Donald Trump says one thing: she really is a loser. Rather than take the blame, she is placing it squarely on the shoulders of one who is sure to rival Donald Trump as her #1 enemy. FBI Director James Comey.
