Bernie Sanders is Right About One Thing

If there is anything as false as Hillary’s “love and light” and “I’m just like you!” persona, it’s the absurd notion that she is in any way qualified to be president. This woman has turned a marriage based on purely political reasons into a lackluster, scandal-ridden career, and wants you to vote for her. Because it’s time for a female, and hey, everyone, she’s a Clinton!

It’s amusing to see the Left implode a bit, since, let’s be honest, what has happened between their candidates hasn’t been very dramatic. Watching two white geriatrics debate is sleep-inducing. But on Tuesday and Wednesday, Hillary and Bernie decided to take shots at one another.

On Tuesday, Hillary insisted Bernie Sanders wasn’t qualified to be president. Sanders’ response on Wednesday included the following, as reported by The Daily Beast:

She has been saying lately that she thinks that I am not qualified to be president.

Well, let me, let me just say in response to Secretary Clinton: I don’t believe that she is qualified, if she is, through her super-PAC, taking tens of millions of dollars in special interest funds. I don’t think that you are qualified if you get $15 million from Wall Street through your super-PAC.

I don’t think you are qualified if you have voted for the disastrous war in Iraq. I don’t think you are qualified if you have supported virtually every disastrous trade agreement which has cost us millions of decent paying jobs.

While Bernie is right about Hillary’s cozy, hypocritical ties to Wall Street, he flatly contradicts himself with the last statement. Sanders supported both John Kerry, who voted for the Iraq AUMF, and Barack Obama, who voted for those trade deals. While these are good soundbites for the social justice warrior hipsters in his audience, there’s actually much more which disqualifies his opponent.

  • Her scandal-ridden, unethical years as an attorney, including being fired from the Watergate investigation.
  • Her scandal-ridden years in Arkansas before the White House (see: Whitewater).
  • The Clinton scandals once in the White House, such as Travelgate and Filegate.
  • Her disastrous healthcare proposal while First Lady.
  • Her tenure as Senator from New York, which she was not qualified for and during which she accomplished nothing.
  • Her time as Secretary of State, which, besides scandals, accomplished nothing.
  • The Benghazi scandal, which does makes a difference, since 4 Americans died under her watch.
  • The Clinton Foundation funds scandal.
  • The ongoing, FBI-investigated email scandal.

And that’s just a start. As we all know, Hillary doesn’t possess anything but the correct last name, the correct gender, a ruthless demeanor, and a lying disposition. The woman has had her sights set on the White House – beyond that of First Lady – for quite some time. Even Bill Clinton said during his 1992 presidential campaign: “‘You get two for the price of one,’ indicating Hillary Clinton would act as his co-president.” This has been in the works for years, and Bill couldn’t be more excited, but that just might be due to the interns he would encounter as First Guy.

On Thursday, Bill, of course, said his wife is qualified. As reported by Politico:

“Several reasons,” Clinton repeated for emphasis. “One, because she was a great senator for New York, especially on economics and national security. Two, because she was a great secretary of state, and three because — keep in mind — unlike when I became president, a lot of things are coming apart around the world now.”

Clinton reiterated his line that his wife “has the best ideas” and is the “best changemaker.”

Hillary is the bitter, abortion-loving grandma who finally believes it’s her turn to be president after a young, charismatic black man stole it from her. Bernie Sanders is right…about one thing. Hillary is very unqualified, and has nothing to show for herself except one-half of a political marriage. And frighteningly enough, that just might be the one thing that propels her into the Oval Office.
