He was a hoarder, but so what?
Illegal weapon types, unlicensed transfers cited

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles man found with more than 1,000 guns in his Bel-Air home in May was charged with 64 felony counts, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said Monday.
Girard Damian Saenz, 58, is charged with 23 counts of possession of an assault weapon, 17 counts of transfer of handgun with no licensed firearms dealer, 15 counts of unlawful assault weapon/.50 Browning Machine Gun rifle activity, seven counts of possession of a short-barreled rifle or shotgun, and two counts of possession of a destructive device, the office said.
State law prohibits the manufacture, distribution, transportation, importation and sale of any assault rifle or .50 BMG rifles, except in specific circumstances, according to the California Legislature.
Saenz pleaded not guilty during a Monday morning arraignment at the Los Angeles Superior Court. If convicted of the charges, he could face up to nearly 49 years in prison.
When he was arrested, authorities said there was no indication Saenz used the guns in crimes.
Further down in the article it stated that no evidence had been found liking Mr Saenz to terrorism.
The Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States says:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Why were Mr Saenz’s rights infringed upon?
The weaklings and fools in the California state legislature decided that guns are bad, bad, bad, so they passed some stupid ‘gun control’ laws to fight crime. But Mr Saenz was never charged with any crime other than having weapons the state didn’t think he should have. He didn’t rob anyone, he committed no crimes using the firearms in his possession.
This is the natural result of the left’s insanity when it comes to our Second Amendment rights: the state legislature made simple possession of firearms it didn’t like a crime in itself, but the crime they said that they were preventing never occurred; Mr Saenz was not even suspected of using the firearms illegally. The Pyrite State created a crime where no crime existed, infringed a man’s rights when he had infringed on no one else’s.
The New York Times published, on the front page, on April 23, 1933:
Breslau, April 21, 1933 — The Police President of this city has decreed that “all persons now or formerly of the Jewish faith who hold permits to carry arms or shooting licenses must surrender them forthwith to the police authorities.”
The order is justified officially on the ground that Jewish citizens have allegedly used their weapons for unlawful attacks on members of the Nazi organization and the police.
Inasmuch as the Jewish population “cannot be regarded as trustworthy,” it is stated, permits to carry arms will not in the future be issued to any member thereof.
We saw just how well that worked out for the people who had their firearms confiscated.
This is not some kind of “common sense gun control”; this is tyranny!
